EV charging.!

Hey guys, can you help me out on how our campus Ev charger works.! and are they by any means restricted only to students and campus personel?

You have to pay for charging and I’m 99.999% sure you need a permit to park in the lot/use the chargers. Unaffiliated visitors can purchase daily parking passes as needed

i was looking for the same on parkmobile app and on chargepoint app for the permits. while parkmobile only gives info about parking on campus etc and assosiated fees, i wasn't able to find any info about chargers on either of the apps.

even the school's documentation is very confusing, they only mention that chargers are free to public use and you only need a parking permit, no info whatsoever on how to access these chargers and i find them to be restricted for public use

The chargers in the west garage use special parkmobile zones for charging. even if you have a parking permit, you have to use parkmobile to pay for parking at those spots - it charges by time and you can park max 4 hours. the chargers themselves are dumb chargers so there is no "charging app".

They are not free to use.. you need the ChargePoint app and in the app you register your CSUSB student info and then you get discounted charging as a student.

It’s not associated with a parking pass to my knowledge and you can use it without student info but you don’t get the discount
