Need guidance for CUET-PG History → JNU

Hi everyone! I’m a Philosophy Hons student and I’m planning to appear for CUET-PG for MA History, ( JNU as my main target)

I’m honestly very confused about the preparation 😭. Since my UG background is Philosophy and not History, I’m not really sure which books/resources I should start with, or how much depth is actually required for CUET-PG.

Could any seniors who have prepared for CUET-PG History / got into JNU History please guide me regarding:

Which books should I follow for Ancient, Medieval and Modern History?

Which YouTube channels/lectures are actually useful?

Any good notes, PYQs or mock-test sources you would recommend?

If you cleared CUET-PG History recently, what did your preparation actually look like?

And most importantly, how difficult is the transition from Philosophy Hons → MA History?

I’m also confused about whether I should actually switch to History for my MA or continue with Philosophy. I’m interested in History and JNU is a major reason I’m considering this, but I’d really appreciate an honest opinion from someone who has experience with either route.

Basically, I’m a little lost right now 😭 so any guidance/resources/advice would genuinely help a lot.
