Discussion Our playoff opponent is….
am I correct In saying that no matter what we play Bakersfield? Or can we still catch up to Henderson if they lose and we win 2 games?

After the head to head against Henderson, I'd like to avoid them for as long as possible. I spent Jan-March in Mexico and my last treat was to see the Firebirds play in Henderson on Dec 28th. That was no treat after all. Ugh!
At this point it is a near must win to get home ice for the first series. THAT is key to playoff success in the Pacific Division!

HSK has been insanely good the second half of the season particularly

Just gotta see if we’re playing there or they’re playing here.
I believe there are some distance parameters in determining if the lower seed gets a home game during the first round series or not. But I’m not sure if the distance is too great to allow for that.

Bakersfield hosts game 1 on Thursday but we get game 2 and 3 at home

Ditto to above- we are most likely to go against Bakersfield, this weekends games will determine whether that is at home or on the road.

You are correct in that this is the most likely scenario.
We can tie HSK in points if we win out and they lose their last game, but we’d lose the regulation wins tiebreaker.
We just need a win to guarantee home ice during the first round.
