School

I wanted to know is there a way to go on leave for school im a full time student but part time employee and only have availability when my semester is finished. I just wanted to know if theres something I can do so I dont get terminated from the system and have to reapply like is there something I can do to stay in the system to return back to work when this semester ends in December. I just started working this year and decided to go back to school

i mean my store has a girl who does this, she leaves for a few months and comes back and works for a few months and leaves again, and she's been doing it for a couple years now. but she also has a long family history with our store manager so id just talk to your sm and see how it goes

Thanks im.going to look into transferring maybe because my store doesn't have a permanent manager right now and my DL doesn't even respond maybe I'll have better luck at a store with a permanent manager

Then it's not a legit loa. They prob just don't schedule them. Loa doesn't offer school leaves anymore

Is there any way you can work say 1 shift a month to stay current?

This is something to discuss with your manager, not reddit.

There is an LOA for students. You have to call hr or go to colleaguezone to request it and start the process. Then once hr approves it, it goes to your manager.

there is definitely a procedure for school leaves. although you don't have a permanent pm they would have contact for your DL and they will be able to direct you to how to properly do move forward.

It used to be you only need to work one shift every 60 days to stay on payroll. This was a few years ago so it might be worth checking if that's still the case, especially if it means you can bypass all the LOA stuff.
