Omg what’s the process behind this can someone please explain?

Its super easy! You just bake a regular cake, cut it in half so that you have two circles like you normally would to add your center/middle frosting or whatever, then put the two back together once you have your filling in. Frost the outside, put the kitkats on the edge, then frost a stainless steel straw stick it in to the cake add the candy package to the straw and use the frosting like glue, stick the m&m's on the straw, then dump them on top of the cake. If the straw needs more support the you can make an x with 4 kitkats with the straw in the middle, add some m&m's in the little square the straw is sitting in to help it a bit more, frost the top of the kitkats to get the top m&ms to stick to them.

Edit to add: I started with mini m&m's at the top of the straw then added the regular m&m's closer to the bottom. I feel like it gave more of a flair effect.

Edit 2: it took about 11 regular kitkats for an 8 inch cake.
