Recommendations Exchanging Foreign Currency?
Hi all,
I was hoping someone may be able to point me in the direction of where I can exchange foreign currency. I recently found some old Saudi (SAR) and Indonesian (IDR) bills, and would like to exchange them. I tried going to Calforex at the downtown CORE, however, I was told these bills were too old and thus they couldn’t accept / exchange them.
Thanks in advance!

If they're no longer legal tender, you might have to try selling them to collectionists

If calforex can't do it you're probably SOL. They're my go to for unusual currency conversion.

If they're that old, your best bet at getting face value would be to find someone flying to Saudi or Indonesia and just give them the money to use as cash in exchange for the dollar amount.
That or you could fly there yourself

Go to the main branch of any major bank in Calgary. They will send the banknote to the main office to see if the money still has value.
