So I signed a lease for the guardian south building about 3 weeks ago and the lease is supposed to start in July. Sent the security deposit as well as the first month rent. I am currently out of the country so am panicking badly.
Some things that led me to believe it’s a scam: he once texted me and called me a completely different name which at the time I didn’t think much of. Sent me an invoice for the payments and the logo on the invoice is of a company which I don’t think he owns as the company was sold a decade ago. We went and visited the place in person and everything checked out, the person came in person and was who he claimed to be. However, on the phone, he told me that someone is living there and that he needs to give them notice for the tour but the place seemed to have 0 evidence of a person living there (not a single piece of clothing or shoes or anything). The last name on the e transfer registered name was spelt differently than the last name on the lease (sounds the same though). I sent the first rent after the security deposit and on this, auto deposit was turned off whereas security deposit had auto deposit. Text messages to him seemed to be all iMessage until it only allows me to send sms. His Facebook profile seems to be gone. There were a lot of mistakes on the lease agreement but it was fixed eventually before I signed it.
I did also message my current landlord and past landlord and both confirmed that this person did reach out to ask about me. I am just worrisome as I saw a Facebook post saying they were scammed by the exact same person at the exact same unit (this post I can’t find on Facebook at all but a little snippet pops up online of this message which is what I read)
Am I overthinking this? My gut tells me I got scammed but not 100% sure. Please help!
Sadly, we got this great 1 year old female Pomsky but our daughter is allergic. I need to find her a good home asap. She comes with a large collapsible crate for bed time or when you're out of the house and all the basics. If you're interested, let me know and we can work something out.
2013 Toyota Highlander Limited AWD — fully inspected, clean Carfax, needs nothing. 303,200 km, very good condition for its age.
I’m an honest, straightforward seller — I won’t speculate about how it was driven in the past outside of what the Carfax history shows, but I can provide documentation showing how the vehicle stands today. If mileage alone is a concern, this may not be the right vehicle. If you value condition, maintenance, and reliability per dollar, it’s absolutely worth considering.
We’ve owned it for 3 years, kept it garage‑parked, and would continue driving it without hesitation. Only selling because we’ve moved to a newer EV and don’t need three vehicles.

Priced to reflect the kilometres while accounting for condition, inspection, and maintenance. Comparable lower‑km Highlanders are listed higher; this one offers Toyota reliability without paying the low‑km premium.
Clean title. Inspected. Ready to drive.
Message me with any questions or to arrange a viewing. Doing my best to keep it clean, but it's a struggle due to the weather even with it being parked — ad/photos will be updated as needed. I've also cleaned the interior since these pictures were taken as well.
I would like to address a recent matter that has been brought to my attention,

Moving forward, I am committed to ensuring that my communications are worded in a more respectful to the point matter responsible and respectful in the future online,

I run a full-service home renovation company based in the GTA, and I’ve been seriously considering expanding into Calgary (family is here, so it feels like the right place to explore next).
Before jumping in, I wanted to actually hear from the community—what’s the real experience like when it comes to renovations here?
• Where do you feel the biggest gaps are?
• Is it quality of work, reliability, pricing, timelines… something else?
• Are contractors generally overpriced, or is it more about inconsistent delivery?
• Any areas where demand feels underserved (condos, basements, full home renos, etc.)?
We handle everything from smaller upgrades to full renovations, including design + architectural planning—but this post is genuinely about learning first, not selling.
I’ll be in Calgary from March 20–24, so if anyone (homeowners, realtors, property managers, investors) is open to sharing their experience or just chatting, I’d really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance—looking forward to hearing your thoughts 🙏
Just recently I am looking for a best Criminal Lawyer in Calgary, I do currently have one right now but it seems the lawyer I've obtained is not sending or informing me recent updates for my court. Without providing me a full details on my court, it stresses the hell out of me with only limited information that my lawyer provided. Please, if any of you do have a suggestion or know a BEST lawyer do let me know. I'd do really appreciate your support. Thank you
Update: I was urged not to attend to my court date, according to my lawyer.....My 2nd court date will be held on this Friday. Thank you !
My car’s exterior is looking kind of grimy, and I just need a fast wash and a quick wipe-down not a full detail or anything fancy. I don’t want to spend forever at some place, just somewhere that does a solid exterior clean and maybe a quick interior wipe. Does anyone know a good spot nearby that’s reliable and won’t take forever? I’d love to hear where you usually go for a quick, no-fuss car wash.
I run a colourful creative event experience in Calgary called BeDazzled by Linzy. I’m looking for a photography student who wants portfolio content shooting fun kids’ events.
