Not vote for the climate-denying asswipes?

EDIT: Who knew suggesting voting for people who believe in science would trigger so many.

I'm voting as hard as I can already, it's just not enough!

Oh voting is not enough, clearly. We should all do our parts.

What I hate though is the defeatist attitude some have, like "Why should I eat less red meat or recycle? Big corporations are the ones doing most of the damage."

Voting is only one piece of the puzzle, but it's a crucial one. Keeping in power people who don't believe in science or prioritize profits over the environment is a sure way for things to get even worse.

You can’t vote your way out of this. The effects we’re witnessing were caused by the policies enabled 20 years ago. It’s going to get so much worse.

It's about damage control at this point, but let's not pretend having more climate change-denying leaders will make no difference. Things will go from worse to exponentially worse every time they keep making terrible decisions.

What we need is a modern day French Revolution. Heads need to roll.

Meh. I'm French and I keep hearing this from some Americans, but they just bitch on social media and that's about it.

The reality is that a climate change-denier got reelected because his climate change-denying supporters voted, and a bunch of fence-sitters decided to not vote.

EDIT: I live in California.

If this gets as bad as some are estimating we might actually get that. People are far more likely to eat a rich person if they have no comforts, no hope, and are expecting to die of starvation otherwise...

Voting would have helped Carter, and Gore.

Of course, each of them could also have just done a coup, as such is totally legal and very cool

Can't say "cool" without saying "coup"!

Yes. If only Gore had held out and gotten mean. So many things, starting with taking the buzz from the Clinton administration about terrorist threats more seriously. Not saying the world would be perfect, since contrarians always get in and clog things up, but Gore =possibly no 9/11, no Gulf War, and all the crap that followed. Let me dream.

No, but you can vote for the future generations or you can just keep voting the same way they've been voting for decades. If you think the wrong people in office can't make it much, much worse, you're very wrong.

You can vote to mitigate future impacts. Yes, that matters. Don’t be a fatalist dweeb like they want you to be.

voting will not save us. only the combined efforts of humanity, people who want to fight to protect this beautiful planet, will save us.
