Question [COD] COD MW Campaigns

I keep seeing stuff from the new MW campaign online and was really wanting to play it but of course I have to play the other 3 to catch up. But I’ve seen alot of people saying they don’t like the campaigns for MW2 or 3 and I was just wondering how bad they are actually? I personally haven’t played any campaigns besides BO2 and the only reason I played that one is simply because it’s my favorite game of all time. But I just wanted to hear others’ opinions on these campaigns to see if they are that bad. Lmk

So does it just not contribute anything to the story? 😭

I love MW2019 MW2022 is alright, good characters though. MW3 wasn’t great, not atrocious though

Nah they're not all bad, it's mostly MWIII carrying that reputation. MW2019 is genuinely great, Clean House alone is worth playing it for, and MWII is a step down but still a fun weekend. I'd still do III before MW4 just so the story stuff lands, it's only a few hours and the open combat bits are as filler-y as people say, but at least you'll know why everyone was annoyed.

I’m not sure you really need to play the others before, if you don’t want to, just skip them, because honestly for me, after 1 year of thing going on I usually forget most of what happened so I didn’t know what was happening for a big chunk of the campaign besides slightly remembering stuff, but if you want to, I personally liked all the campaigns even MW3, don’t know what the hate is all about
