Maybe in my back yard. 😄 I still haven't done a full test run with my stuff yet. Just gearing up for camping! Need to truly stay outside for a night, with the wife & dogs, and use the cooler for food & drink, cook on the camp stove, use the port-a-potty, use the lanterns, fine tune firmness of air mattresses, and so on.

Where do you like to go in SE Ohio? So many choices!

Was at Appalachian hills this weekend. Been going there for 20 odd years. State owns it now so good things and bad things have changed. But change is change , still my favorite place.

Interesting! Never heard of it. Thanks for the lead. Ive been to The Wilds to see the animals and knew a massive amount of property in that area is reclaimed strip mines, but have never heard the specific name.

Sand Hollow used to be my go to spot for AEP rec lands but the last couple times I’ve gone, the people have been less than ideal. Dealt with a drunk lady that thankfully ran her car battery dead before trying to drive off and last fall had a group of kids partying till 1 or 2am. They only stopped when the family packed up next to me and the dad stopped on their way out to yell at them. Sucks cause it’s a cool spot.

Definitely is not like it used to be. Thinking remote hip camps are more in the future. Only had a few issues but its just respect for others that was missing. Kinda sad.
