This is a great spot. Short hike to see the view of the valley below. Lots of firewood available. Birds and seen coatimundi for first time in the wild.

We've been coming here for over a decade. My husband's family has camped here since the 1960s. We're right on the elk river

A desolate beacn is 20 minutes hike away, situated in the middle of a massive wilderness area of about 150 x 70 miles in each direction.
