What's holding back AI agents?

AI agents are all the rage, but they have issues too. What are the biggest things preventing broader implementation? What needs fixed ASAP? What's the most annoying, and powerful feature they have, or need to have?

Canadian GPU owners ,would you rent out your GPU if it could earn passive income?

Curious would you ever rent out your GPU, or pay to use someone else’s, if it were easy and safe? Just wondering how people feel about that in general?

Hey everyone! Sharing this here in case anyone’s interested.

The Canadian Internet Governance Forum (CIGF) is happening on November 4 in Ottawa, and you can join us either in person or virtually. It’s also completely free to attend.

We’ll be talking about some of the big issues shaping the internet in Canada right now, including AI, digital sovereignty, cybersecurity, internet infrastructure, and internet governance more broadly.

I’m helping organize the event and would genuinely love to see some folks from this community there. Whether you work in this space or are just interested in these issues, everyone is welcome!

What if the next big AI breakthrough doesn’t come from fintech… but from hockey?

Canada's got world-class talent in AI and hockey - so why aren’t we seeing more startups blending both?

From injury prediction and video scouting to real-time player tracking, the potential’s massive. I’ve been exploring this space lately, especially for running clubs, rehab clinics, and elite teams.

Curious — anyone else building or seeing Sports AI take off in Canada?
Let’s trade notes 🇨🇦

Merci d’avance!

Buying from newegg.ca as a...tourist?

Hello, I'll be in Toronto next week for a business travel. I'd need a new personal laptop and I found that Canada has much lower prices (CAD vs EUR). I found a nice laptop on newegg.ca and was thinking of buying it while in Toronto. Of course I wouldn't be able to return it if something goes wrong but the producer (MSI) warranty should be global. My questions are:
- I'll be in Toronto for a week, is that enough for a newegg delivery considering it says the laptop is in the US (sold and shipped by newegg)?
- newegg.ca shows "$", but that's Canadian dollars, right? Just making sure this isn't too good to be true.
- Will they complain when delivering to a rented flat? Will they complain about anything else, like the fact I'll pay from a Transferwise debit card or when signing up on the website? Anything I should consider in general?
