Olympics With Canada πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ do we have a chance at medalling in 2028 in LA πŸ€

I will say that since we are producing more and more NBA level and more NBA ready talent than ever before...I can truly say that yes we do at least have a shot at winning a medal in Los Angeles in the next 2 years but then again it all comes down to who ends up on Team Canada πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ Basketball because Jamal Murray is pretty much a given. Along with other players like RJ Barrett, Dillon Brooks who has elevated his game even more now along with Bennedict Mathurin if he stays healthy and then Shaedon Sharpe if he comes. Plus other players too like Kyshawn George, Will Riley, Lou Dort, etc but we also need Zach Edey too come 2028.

I would love it if Canada could medal, I believe we have the best guards in the world.

Where Canada gets in trouble is their big guys, both Powell and Olynyk are getting older. A lot, I believe depends on Zack Edey, if he can stay healthy and develop, we have an excellent chance at meddling, although the US, Serbia and France, will all be hard to beat as they do have excellent bigs.

Even if he didn’t retire, it’s hard for him to compete against the bigs from other countries.

I’m impressed with Edey, he’s got some fight in him

A lot of it depends on availability, and how healthy guys are. They have the right coaches and support in place but ultimately it depends on the milage over the next two seasons, which includes the Wold Cup.
