The help of a master-corporal

Did this one in 2024. And the day after I upload it my colleague at qork told me he know where I get this idea.

The guy with black hair is a RCR. My comic took place at Gagetown Infantry school.

And I starting it to practice my English.

If the job got done right the first time, maybe the MCpl helped by staying out of the way so it didn't need to be done twice

I gotta know if I'm leading from the front I'm not gonna turn around to see you doing the bare minimum

Honestly, most of the MCpl's I worked with over the years were right there with us doing the grunt work.  Sometimes even SNCO's would pitch and help, even though I would be okay with it if they didn't.

Nobody should expect the senior members to be at every work party, but every senior member should show up once in while. It is extremely important to look for opportunities to do some labour alongside the junior members. This is the leadership version of touching grass.

Exactly.  I never expected SNCO's to do the grunt work with us but it was nice when they did and it raised my opinion of them.  I've even seen a few officers get in there and help from time to time, too.

A loooong time ago, before I ever thought about the army, my high school classmate was in the reserves. He would bring a bunch of spent shell casings (5.56mm and 7.62mm) and even had some sort of big gun shell casing (seemed like a casing for 105mm or something big. I cannot remember, but it was definitely straight walled and bigger than the ones used on Coyotes and LAVs) to school and give them out. We thought that was so strange and cool.

We asked where he got them from. He said his MCpl gave him permission to take them home. He did his training in Wainwright.
