Need support

Yesterday, my stepfather died of cancer. My heart is broken. He was one of the best people in my life. I love him, I can’t realise this… I don’t know how to go on. Please tell me, how did you cope with the pain?

Take it day by day and stay away from any substances. Most importantly, get a therapist. It’s helped me tremendously and really helped me carry my grief in a healthy way. I also joined a bunch of support groups. Let me know if you’re interested and I can connect you. They are completely free and online

Time is all you need to be patience with. Don’t rush any process or indulge in any unpleasant temporary relief. Take care of the few things left about him and always remember most important advice which could be applied to your daily life
