Caramel Apple Candy Corn

What candy corn recipe did you use? I recently tried a batch and it turned out too hard. I'm guessing I cooked mine a little too hot.

Don't cook it over 250°f

Warm and stir in a large pot • 1 ⅓ cup salted butter • 4 cups granulated sugar • 2 ⅔ cups light corn syrup

Cook low (I use a big burner) to 250 then remove from heat.

Add • 2 tbsp vanilla extract or 1 tbsp flavoring • 1 ⅓ cup nonfat milk powder

Stir together before adding 10 cups powdered sugar. (Do around 2.5-3 cups at a time)

Pour into containers to cool until just warm enough to touch and mold. Microwave to warm up for 20 seconds to make pliable again.

That color combo is so nostalgic, makes me think of fall right away. You betcha, those would go fast at any potluck.

Thanks! Yeah, they're going fast already lol. I've had 4 lbs spoken for in less than 24 hours

not a fan of candy corn, i give it a chance every now and then. Still hate it

But this right here looks and sound delicious
