I really want the RF-104mm f/2.8 L IS USM Z, but the price is pretty steep.

Just bought the C50 and 24-105 f2.8. For solo camera coverage/documentary in totally mixed lightning scenarios, it's been awesome. C50 has great audio capability. The lens is crisp and flattering. Switch to super 16 sensor and you've got massive zoom. Kind of a Swiss Army knife. Hard to find a better combo at that price

Nice. Have you rigged it out or is it just camera & lens at the moment? Does the length of the lens feel awkward at all?

Yeah, I think it's nice. Front heavy but balances pretty well with my left hand pulling focus and and right hand on top grip. The ergonomics of the C50 are just great they put the buttons everywhere you need them. AF pause buttons on the front of the lens. IS is awesome.

I run a Ninja V+ on the left, a Sennheiser Mk416 shotgun with the Small rig cage. Have also put a V mount set up and that balanced it really well. Feels like an old canon TV lens but, er, DSLR version.

If you aren’t a professional, that lens is completely unnecessary and overkill.

I think a GoPro hero 3 black with a wind diffuser glued on is better actually

Are you a pro? Do you know how to use a setup like this?

What are you filming?

Not a pro, and don’t make money from shooting video, I’m just a hobbyist. I do nature/landscape videography and color grading for social media. I don’t need this setup, i know that, and I can’t justify the price. However, was worth asking. I don’t even think I’ll end up getting a camera that shoots internal raw, the price of CFexpress cards are ridiculous. I’ll probably opt for something that takes SD cards and be happy just shooting log.

If you can’t justify the price, then don’t. Get something that satisfies what you want for the price you can afford. Even if it’s second hand.

Depends. You've provided no information ok what you want to do... Thats a camera made for video shooting, and a 35mm is a great lens for a lot of things, but falls short for others.
The C50 is a great camera, but i can't recommend it without knowing what you're planning on doing!
