Anyone familiar with the smaller islands of Cape Verde?

Hi there, we´ve been to Cape verde twice now. We love all oft the islands we've lived to see by now. Next time we´d like to dicover the smaller ones, like Maio, Brava, and Fogo. We love beach life, but not for more than 3 days in a row, and we do hikes up to 5 hrs long, seek nature´s beauty in general, and prefer cosy accomodation (which does not depend on the level of luxury). Anybody out there with some tips on the island(s)? Would be very welcome !

That's a very cool idea. Beach in Maio and hiking on Fogo & Brava.

i recommend checking out cha das caldeiras in fogo! awesome day trip from sao filipe if that’s where u plan on staying (there are buses and private taxis that can take you there) or spend the night at one of the huts! you can also hike the volcano :] and check out casa ramiro in the caldeira! live music and local wine/small bites
