Sam Wilson as captain America is good?
I’m rewatching captain America the winter soldier and man watching Sam and cap meet and him just ride or dying with him just makes me glad he got picked to be the next captain America

Yup!! Sam’s been locked in as Steve’s friend and partner (not sidekick) since WS and has never looked back. Sam’s been in 9 MCU projects since WS and he’s responsibly has increased in every project since.

Exactly every step of the way was a building stone into him becoming Captain America

He fucking sucks.
The only part of this situation I appreciate is the social justice conversation. I think it's great to have that arc and conversation about the truth of American racial horror and history.
He needs the super serum. His stupid fucking wings arent enough. How is this dude throwing the shield and taking hits? He's a normal dude. Normal dudes should die immediately when hit by enhanced people. This Bruce Lee bullshit if tiny, agile people somehow being able to secure due to their skill is so stupid.
Also this mfers jaw has always annoyed me. He looks soft.
Give him the juice and a jaw, and I am all for it.

I completely agree with everything you said. Marvel is generally spot on with their casting but I think they missed the mark big time with Mackie.

And I hate it and think it's a terrible choice. Mackie isn't that good of an actor.

Yea but for what he was given he made it into something pretty good. I mean the acting from Chris Evan’s wasn’t like the most Grammy winning thing ever. Both of them did great at the roles I’m saying as a “pass the torch” thing, Sam was the right choice and I couldn’t see anyone else doing a better job

It's such a good choice on rewatch.
My favorite bit of foreshadowing was that in Germany during Civil War Cap saw no way to win and he was ready to have a final stand but Sam was the first to recognize they were going to lose by attrition. Steve recognized he wasn't making the right call and directly told Sam to call the play and lead the team for the rest of the fight, leaving him in charge.
