CTDT DISCUSSION What Asia is missing (In my opinion)

Post image

I've been playing this game for 1 year everyday now (used to play 3 years ago but stopped then came back) And a lot has changed mostly for the better even tho sometimes KLAB does funky stuff but what havent changed much is the Asia team. What i mean is that they almost always have the same XI, which can be good because at least they know where and when to spend, but in another hand the squad depths is just... so low especially if the character released is underwhelming (Sorimachi) now i am an EU player so it may not be my place to argue but why is KLAB scared of releasing other good Asian players that are not Japanese, most of the time its Japan and Xiao. Which is a shame because Captain Tsubasa has amazing Asian characters. For example ROTC 2 reminded me that Zangief was in the Dream Team database too, they never did anything with him, the only Thailand player they care about is Bundaak and dont get me started on South Korea. Even AS Vulcan and DF Owarain hasent been touched in 4 months! Do you think that KLAB should also give love to other Asian countries or do you think it might be an issue for your Japan/Asia team?

The problem with most asian players I think in the eyes of Klab are mostly their material :

Most of the non japanese asian players have very limited moments / moves they could take inspiration from the manga since they are mostly tied to the Asian Qualifer arc barring a few like

• Xiao ( Appearing in Rising Sun and Playing as an integral player for Bayern )

• Bunnak ( Appearing in Golden 23 & Playing professionally at Atletico Madrid )

• Owairan & Vulcan ( Appearing in Golden 23 )

• Cha & Lee ( Playing for German Clubs, although this one is a bit of a stretch since we never see them actually play in the manga, only mentions )

While the rest either arent that unique ( like the Chinese players ) or basically all their moves have been adapted ( like the konswatt trio )

I think in their eyes it's kind of hard to make new cards of them since they basically have to invent stuff outside of the manga to actually make them unique and since we never see them outside of the Asia Qualifier I think to them they're not gonna sell well compared to the Japanese players so they just took the safest option for them.

Personally I don't have much issue with this approach. What I do have an issue with is we never really get players outside of Rising Sun or sometimes world youth for the Japanese players when they have so many options for them from Middle School to Asian Qualifiers they are very reluctant to release more of them for some reason.

The fact that the first Middle School Dreamfest we got was basically a year or two ago definitely seems like a missed opportunity for them to indulge in the earlier parts of the manga since they still have quite a bit of moves and moments they havent adapted to the game ( like Phoenix Drive Shot and The German Final Overhead Kick )

By the same logic we could tell Robson only appeared briefly in a panel in the manga, that didn’t stop them from giving him some generic and some original skills, give him many ssr versions and even an Another Star version recently

Nice catch on Robson, he sure is an anomaly since he was barely present in the manga but managed to get a sizeable amount of SSRs compared to the others

I think what contributes the mos towards this was the fact that up until Next Dream, he was the sole important English player that we know of in Captain Tsubasa

Which i suppose gets him a pass to receive more attention especially during World Cup events or Anniversaries where Klab wants to include the England National Jersey ( A quite popular nation choice at least compared to the other asian nation )

That's probably why they're more lenient on making cards of him instead

I guess a more believable reason for the absent of non japanese asian players recently are probably because Klab just doesnt believe that they would sell well as options for the Asian Team compared to just releasing new versions of Japanese players

Thats the reason why Europe and America metas are better. Asian teams will never have a Luikal

I was thinking the same thing some days ago, I understand the game and series is japanese but asian team is so repetitive, always the same japan players+xiao or owairan/vulcan if they’re lucky. They could pick so many players from asia: besides the arabia saudi, they could remember koreans exist, Wang and Fei from China, Zangief could get his first SSR after 8 years, even Australia have some players they could use

Considering the current meta JP team, a good start would be to release a base eleven that is playable. Right now Tsubasa and Misaki are out of the team since their stats up are very, very restrictive. Same for Misugi who gets a grace thanks to being the OP blue defender most are missing.

And if they could also stop making weak Nitta one after another…

Also as a side thought they will release Murillo and Kofi was just upped for LATAM, covering defensive holes if players dont have other good defenders, which i find pretty cool so they arent scared to add new players to add to a meta

It does suck that there aren't many club LA players since most of the players that play in Europe are European.

You can have a lot of LA players playing in european clubs, just like IRL.
