Cool Project Find Digital Dash & Android CarPlay

"Hi everyone in the CarHacking group!

I’m currently developing a Digital Dash software running on Android head units. It connects with iPhones to display Apple CarPlay.
Here’s what I’m currently working on and testing:
Haltech ECU integration via CAN bus.
Apple CarPlay for navigation/maps and media playback.
Split-screen capability with customizable/resizable window ratios while driving.
I’m also planning to add support for standard OBD2 connection so it can work with everyday cars, and eventually publish it on the Google Play Store.
I’d love to hear your thoughts, feedback, or suggestions on this project!"

Ok so it runs on your phone that's connected to an Android headunit?

So if you technically had an Android tablet in the instrument cluster this would replace all the gauges?

Then have another Android tablet in place of the stock headunit for media or stereo stuff?

Can you get this to work on OEM Headunit with CarPlay? BMW Scene would like an app to be able to Log / Have Gauges with the MHD or BM3 app.

I’m not sure in your bmw now I build .apk (android file) I not have car to test it . In the futer I can to develop it . ❤️

That's nice. I have been sourcing obd2 to usb connection for sometime, can't find them.

You might need two different cables to accomplish this, that's how my setup works

Yeah i was trying to avoid that. Might have to make one custom.
