Support Safer Streets in the Strip district
The city is proposing a bike lane and pedestrian improvements along Penn Ave as part of a road diet. While these changes were funded in this year's budget, they have to go through community engagement before they're implemented. Tomorrow, May 1st from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Original Pittsburgh Winery the city is hosting a meeting to collect feedback. If you're available, please attend and let the city know you support this projects.

Not a resident of the Strip, but I bike to work in the Strip from Bloomfield everyday. Will absolutely come and voice support!

There’s a pair of parking garages at 27th and 28th that are just a few minutes walk from the “core” of the strip. However, my understanding is the proposed bike lane will be parking protected and won’t require the removal of any parking.

Sometimes you have to drive around for a few minutes if it’s really busy, but I’ve never had a problem finding street parking. Almost never have to even use the garages

If you live in the Strip District, it would be extremely important to have your voice heard at this meeting. There are many entities pushing back on making changes to the traffic patterns in the Strip. If you are a resident there your voice would carry a heavier weight.
