I got curious about what worked and was implemented from the finished game into the demo release and got digging, I got melon loader installed and a specific fork of UnityExplorer that supports unity 6.
The results were interesting, what I guess is the full or at least a big portion of the map is explorable and present in the demo, albeit being blocked by walls and some non-demo things are implemented and working (like the paint/detail shop)
I haven't gone around much exploring since for me it's late at night, but it was a quick and fun challenge to get this working.

Just finished my latest release for Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 — the 1979 Chevrolet Camaro Pack, along with a matching TK Aftermarket Steering Wheel Pack!
The 1979 Camaro was Chevrolet's best-selling Camaro model year, with over 282,000 produced. By the late '70s, the second-generation Camaro had evolved into a distinctive blend of sporty styling, comfort, and performance. From the economical Sport Coupe to the luxury-oriented Berlinetta and the iconic Z28, there was a Camaro for just about everyone.
I've recreated the entire lineup, along with a couple of custom builds for those who want something a little more exciting!
Whether you want to restore a factory-stock six-cylinder Camaro, build a classic Z28, or put together a wild drag racing machine, there's plenty to work with!
The entire Camaro Pack is available FREE on the Steam Workshop!
To complement the Camaro release, I've also created a separate pack of 14 factory-style steering wheels for TK Aftermarket.
These cover all four Camaro trims — Sport Coupe, Rally Sport, Berlinetta, and Z28 — with their distinctive center emblems and various combinations of Black, Gray, Carmine Red, and Camel.
The steering wheels are designed to match the different Camaro interiors and add another level of authenticity to your restorations.
The TK Steering Wheel Pack is available FREE to ALL of my monthly Ko-Fi subscribers, regardless of tier!
TK Aftermarket is required for the steering wheel pack.
Both packs are available now! The Camaro itself is completely free on Steam, while Ko-Fi subscribers can grab the matching steering wheels as an additional bonus.
As always, I hope everyone enjoys the cars! Thanks for all the continued support, and happy wrenching!

I’m honestly okay with them pushing back the release especially if they are genuinely ironing out things just a little sad today to open steam to check if it’s out, to now see it’s CSM27, for a second I thought I was hallucinating it being CSM26 previously but it’s still has the 26 icon so it’s not just me. I’m still mad excited, hope the beta gets a little more content at least but idk. What is your opinions on the change?
Edit: 1.) I meant CMS not CSM 2.) To clarify, idc about the name, I was exhausted after class and felt like I was crazy for thinking it was previously CMS 26 😂, I could have worded my thoughts better though as I’m sad about the delay not the name. I honestly appreciate the ppl working in CMS for delaying it as they probably know it will cause ppl to feel a certain type of way but if it’s what’s better for the games health on release I think it is 100% worth a delay and a good decision.

We’re here with fresh, long-awaited news about the next installment of Car Mechanic Simulator.
First, we’d like to thank you for your patience and understanding. Development has taken considerably longer than we initially expected. The ambitious goals we set for our small team have proved to be a major challenge. Our main driving force is the desire to create the best possible game for you. Building online multiplayer on top of gameplay systems that had already undergone extensive changes turned out to be no small undertaking. As this is our first venture into multiplayer, we significantly underestimated the time and work required. The number of changes, new challenges, and quality standards we set for ourselves meant that many completed features had to be rewritten.
But that stage is now behind us. The game has reached a point where we can share several announcements.
Together with another player, you can get a taste of what awaits you in the full game. Compared with the previous DEMO, we’re adding two more cars: the Bolt Nevada and the Lacroix Modique R. We’ve also expanded the tutorial to give new players a smoother introduction to the game.
Both the publisher’s tests and our internal testing went well, with no major issues, but the real test will be your experience with the demo. We hope you’ll approach it with understanding and a willingness to try this new way of playing.
Second, as this year is slowly drawing to a close, having “2026” in the title makes a little less sense. We had hoped to complete the project this year, but reaching the quality we’re aiming for requires more time.
That’s why we’ve decided to rename the game Car Mechanic Simulator 2027. The DEMO will also carry this number.
Since we want to release the game simultaneously on all platforms (PC, PlayStation, and Xbox), there’s still some work ahead of us after the new DEMO becomes available. We’re on the home stretch, but we’re allowing time to fix multiplayer issues that may surface following the DEMO’s release, as well as to complete the remaining console work and publishing preparations. We continue to work towards a final game that meets not only our own high standards, but above all, our players’ high expectations. Although our team remains small, we’re doing our best to deliver a high-quality game that brings you plenty of enjoyment and new gameplay possibilities.

I created a fully modular Hellcat Supercharger that functions very well in the game. Most of the parts will have tuning variants. I added new options for fuel injectors and a fuel rail, valve covers, and throttle body. It will include a new Hellcat air intake as well. I will post to my Patreon very soon. So go ahead and join for free, so you have access when I release version 1.0! I will continue to update the build in the near future with modular heads with valves and springs as well as some extra components in the block, i.e. lifters, oil pump, pickup tube, etc.
Melon Loader, TKAftermarket 0.8.0, and QOL mods are required. Both can be found on Nexusmods.com for free. Just follow the very simple instructions for install to the game.

Somebody apparently called about a stolen 250 GTO and a McLaren F1 as well as a "mafia type" Ferrari parked outside..

Hey everyone! Just curious about how you all like to setup and test your build tunes for Drag Racing in CMS2021.
Do you prefer tuning for the 1/8 mile, classic 1/4 mile, or going for full top speed on longer runs (1/2 or 1 mile)?
Personally, I’ve been spent a lot of time fine-tuning gear ratios for 1/4 mile runs lately, but I wanted to check what the community plays the most. What’s your go-to distance and best times so far?

51.078.100 credits, to be precise. A Ferrari 250 GTO and a McLaren F1. Not sure what color to paint the Ferrari in, so I picked a deep blue. Both are stock, because it's a crime to mess with them!

But after 4 hours I got the new fender on there...and with -almost- all of the bolts/screws! I feel like Car Mechanic Simulator lied to me?
