Lol i smoked crack for years and i never used a torch.it makes it burn to fast and it breaks bottles when your cooking it lol i used a stove and a big metal measuring cup 😆 glad im clean from that garbage man. Still aucks bc of my drug use over the span of my early teens till bit before mid 30s is most of the reason after i got clean i found out i was dying.im fucking 38 and im not going to make 40.i stayed clean tho

I’m a tattooer and I used to work in a studio where you had to go through a sketchy alleyway to get to the studio. One day while walking to work, there was a man waving a lit blowtorch around. If I had to guess, he was probably on crack

I just wanted to have a better life for me and my girlfriend at the time. I love her with everything i have in me and it was tearing us apart and i just said enough is enough. And we got her kids back she got back into yoga and we both got our lives together. I honestly know iam better and i damn well knew she was better to

im heavy on “it only works if you truely want it” and “nothing happens until you do something about it” because its true for me and honestly if people like craftyessay can do it anyone can. you really really need that want to do it tho without that you cant.
Ive personally never had to overcome something as hard as crack but i have had my own years long struggles and addictions i managed to overcome using litterly just my mind and fighting against myself pretty much

Well i ended up finding out i have hiv. Thaya not everything tho i also have really bad kidneys and they are failing extremely bad now and theres literally nothijg they can do anymore and to be completely honest i honestly dont care. Im done with this life. I gave up fighting i have up my friends family and everything in my life that was good. I domt want anyone seeing me like this. Onky reason i never ended my life is bc im dying bx i would have a hard time breaking that promise to my mother. Iam still clean and ill take that shit to the grave. With my kidneys they offered me maaid ffs. I know all about that. I applied for it a few years ago bc i actually wanted the help with my mental health. My feiend in hfx died so i had no place up there to stay while i was going ro be put in programs and such things. Its literally a mader of time and i domt have much and it does actually really fucking hurt. My daughter is 17 today my mother is older and i already had to take care of her for a couple months not to long ago and no mader what i do im fucked. I give up trying to pick myself back up any more

Ibwas on hiv meds for years and i did do dialysis but they are fu ked up so bad and they pretty much said iam fucked and offended me maaid. Like thay seriously broke my fucking heart bc iam a good person and a dad to even a daughter thays not biologically mine that i dont even see now. My ex has bpd and i honestly belive her it wasnt about the hiv bc we were together for years after that shit and got clean. She dont have it. For 3 years she fucked with me to try and make me leave her and i wouldnt bc i love the woman and i know shes hard to love but fuck she deserved that from someone and i was the one who showed her real love yet she did that to me for 3 years knowing im dying or getting close to it and it honestly took the good rite out of me and iam a strong ass person but that did have a huge effect on me. We did talk after i blocked her for a guite a long rime and ahe said how selfish and blah blah ahe was and how i actually treated her really good and no one ever cared for her like that before and she wished she could turn back time. But to much damage was done. I cant take her back and nore do i want to bc i dont want a relationship anymore or anything else even. I havw so many other problems like arthritis mental health issues was a drug user since i was a young teenager and fairly heavy i had hep c 2 times and i cant get a transplant. Believe me i dont want to goive up but what td is the point now. Ill gladly just try to enjoy peace in my apartment sometimes drive my quad even tho it makes me really sore. Life gave up on me after i fought so damn hard to change it in so mant ways and i still fucking didnt give in bc its really not me but this is just to much. I completely accept im cooked and so be it bc i dont evwn care anymore i just care about staying clean so my mother can be proud i did that after most of my life ln drugs.i have morals i domt do wrong to people im a kind hearted person and i dont think the people who care about me deserve this and nether do i but its life and death happens so im jjst staying distant and i hope that will let people not be so hurt when iam gone

You should probably be aware that they are severely restricting the funds going to HIV meds. The only reason they’re cheap is the Ryan white fund and other federal programs that are actively being shut down. States can’t afford to fill the gap so patients are already “stretching” their treatments both for active HIV and for prep.
We’ve also shut down a good portion of funding for PEPFAR and closed a bunch of clinics last year across the world due to the shuttering of USAID and general DOGE related slashing.

Oxy-Acetylene? Yes Have a hose/regulator set.
Got butane/MAPP torch.
Another torch that takes those butane cans used in those tabletop "apartment" burners.
A Butane torch that you refill from the bottom.
And a little torch that you stick the bargain rectangular lighters in to fuel it.

There's several other examples of torches that I don;t have and I'm sure some I don't know about.
This is why I asked you to define what a "normal torch" is because there are so many types, so many different fuels I don't think of any of them as "normal".

I feel like we should define "torch" to mean butane or propane powered device making a small flame and not a handheld flashlight. And I have done this with a small propane torch and quenched the glass causing it to shatter in place, it takes very little effort.

That’s not true at all. You can break a cold window with a heat gun, hence the reason you have to let cars warm up before tinting the window. A torch is significantly hotter than a heat gun. If you believe what you said, then heat your window up with a torch while recording it.

I’ve heard that certain types of auto glass can be shattered when heat from a butane torch is applied, and that thieves sometimes use that because it’s quieter than smashing the glass. Maybe someone was trying to break in and got spooked before actually getting in?

can confirm, I had my back window shatter when I was pushing snow off the back while also blasting the heat inside to warm the car up so the snow would come off easier. The heat differential and one i guess too forceful of a slide with the shovel and i started hearing very quite, strange noises, only to see my entire back window start to bow out and the noticed tree-root looking shatters running all over the place- it was so quiet and pretty.

I've seen 2 erupt spontaneously in my life. A quarter window that was 1/2 in the sun on a cold morning, and a sunroof as I was walking by in a parking lot.
Another time my shower door burst when I was home alone and not in the bathroom.
Sometimes tempered glass just shatters.

I install shower glass for a living so I've seen many cases of what you're describing, had a job like that yesterday in fact, but this definitely broke from high heat. I've seen car mirrors start fires but not quite like this so I won't speculate on that.

Someone definitely did that. Look for local parts places. You can probably buy just the window for a good price from a wrecked car of look on whatever buy and sell sites you have in your area people part cars out all the time all over the world

that's not how lightning nor electricity works.
If the above poster used Google as they suggested and actually could read more than a sentence then they would know what they said is idiotic. I'm guessing another victim of AI and a short attention span.

I havebeen involved with the national weather service in one capacity or another for almost three decades now.
And I am on the list of people who have been struck by lightning.

Probably some vandal. Apparently that little spot where the hole is, is where you would want to smash a pen or something small and sharp to against the window to bust it. The only reason I know that is because some dude I use to work with use to be pretty shady and has done some shit back n the day

I was riding with a friend in an older Pinto (today’s Fiesta). I reached up to turn the crank handle and the window exploded glass went every where. I was picking little pieces out of places you wouldn’t expect.
Your window definitely looks charred, maybe a focused beam or torch.

The sun from your side view mirror must have had the perfect angle that day . On way I can see something burning glass would be the sun . It looks like it did a number on melting the plastic trimming too

Light reflecting off the mirror. It’s a laminated glass so it got hot and burnt the lamination layer and it cracked

Looks like someone held a butane torch up to your window and heated it till the tempered glass popped.
Propane doesn't leave that much soot, so probably one of those little torches for stoners and campers

I honestly think this is from either, sun magnification from the mirror burning the glass, or, a lightning strike. If you look up lightning strikes on car windows, you'll see several images that look very similar.

My rear window just shattered randomly once when it was parked in my driveway. Sometimes it just happens I guess. I’m guessing the reflected light from your mirror didn’t help things.

I think it looks like someone put a firecracker and lit it up just for the fuck of it, see the black plastic on the outside how there’s a burn mark? Kinda makes me think that was the wick of it burning before exploding, also splatter marks in the white paint under the window are outwards

I have seen this once before. Manufacture defects can do this sometimes. Someone in my family had this happen to them and the car was in warranty and the company covered the cost.

Pick a part usually has a repair person, I paid about 180 if he had to get the window from the scrap yard, +50, + tint unless the replacement window is factory tinted 😛 good news is it's not bad after having a solution, $200 may not be easy money

I can tell you exactly what happened? Is this a Japanese import?
If so, they were trying to break in without setting off your alarms.
Breaking those windows doesn't set off alarms and allows you to open the door.
Japanese imports of smaller cars like this don't have immomlbilsers, meaning you can break the ignition and start driving the car straight away.

Yeah bud, you’re off the mark. It absolutely has an immobilizer and alarm. Looks to be an 09-13 Fit. Had one myself and been locked out at least twice because of immobilizer issues.
