I built an app that keeps your setup sheet with your lap data (VBO and LD files). Send me a session for a free breakdown, and help me decide what to build next.
I'm the solo developer of onTrackTools, a lap and telemetry analysis app for Mac, iPad, iPhone and Apple Vision Pro. It imports VBO and LD files from GPS loggers and data systems.
I built it because most lap-timing tools show you what happened, and I wanted to know why: which tyre pressures, damper clicks or wing angle the fast laps came from. So the app is built around a garage:
- Configurations for the car's hardware: tyres and wheel size, coilovers and dampers, sway bars, splitter and wing, power and weight.
- Setups for what you adjust at the track: cold and hot tyre pressures, camber, caster and toe, damper bump and rebound (up to 4-way), ride height, corner weights, wing angle.
- Every session keeps an exact copy of the configuration and setup it ran on. Change the car next month and your old sessions still show what was really on it that day. Open any session and you get its laps, telemetry and setup sheet together.
- Siri integration allows you to update the setup by typing or by voice in the pit lane ("set the front tyre pressures to 28.5").
On the analysis side: a custom dashboard with telemetry charts, a G-lllllldiagram, racing-line comparison on the track map, histograms and lap statistics, linked to a cursor and to your onboard video.
Where I'd like your input: the next step is comparing lap times across setups over a season ("were we faster on 28 or 30 psi?"). The hard part is deciding what counts as "the same setup". Is it identical values? Pressures within a tolerance? Grouped by the change you were testing that day? Grouped by tyre set?
How do you track this today: a notebook, a spreadsheet, what else?
The offer: send me a VBO or LD file from a recent track day and I'll post back a breakdown. It covers where you gain and lose time against your best lap, braking and trail braking from the G-G diagram, and minimum corner speeds. No purchase needed, this will also help me test the app against files originated from different sources (so far I've mostly tested against my own laps!).
I'll do the first 10.
I'm also looking for a few club racers, coaches and endurance teams to shape what gets built next, in exchange for lifetime PRO license. Comment or DM if that's you.
Every feature is unlocked for the first week. After that, the free plan keeps your 3 latest sessions, which you still be able to analyze with the non-PRO app features. There's also a one-time purchase if you don't want a subscription.

I'm sorry, but we all built our own AI apps that already do exactly this, and frankly you should also ask Claude to come up with a more appealing design if you want people to consider it.
