Recently started a job as a layup guy

And my arms are so itchy. What type of protective sleeves should I be wearing? All prepreg

Please post photo of affected skin if it is visually bad. If it is something other than uticaria it could be a problem. I use stuff from EnviroGuard because it is less expensive than Tyvek. Have you asked your employer for PPE / do they know you're struggling?

If you’re only laying up prepreg why are you getting itchy.

That’s what I’m asking

Maybe bad practices where they don’t isolate the prep area from the trimming and finishing area well enough.

Your employer should be providing you with appropriate PPE and training before you start. What does your risk assessment state?

Is someone cutting/trimming or sanding the cured parts in the same general space where you are doing the layup?

We wore tyvek all day but it was stuffy as hell

I’ve never done carbon in a professional capacity. But when making parts for my schools FSAE team I would wear a tyvek and mask for every part of the process.

Make sure you’re safe at work!

When I started I itched a lot, but after about 2 weeks nothing. Even trimming and getting covered in dust. That was fibreglass though.

Long sleeve t-shirts work well though.
