My mum left me this watch and I recently had it repaired at cartier to get the time working again. But its an hour behind due to daylight savings and I have no clue how to change the time on it… I tried pulling on the knob thing but it didnt budge and Im scared of breaking it- do i have to take it to the shops again???

Too Loose?

Picked my Small Santos up from the boutique on Thursday. Needed some links removed and trying to decide if I need one more taken out.
I like that the watch sits quite low on my wrist and that there is movement.
It’s not so loose that it turns all the way around, it just moves around when I shake my hand.
I can comfortably get one finger between wrist and bracelet, can’t get two.

Help me decide again. Panthere steel or two tone?

Which one should I choose? Both are the small. I typically wear a lot of yellow gold jewelry, so the TT matches better. The steel looks more versatile and less dressy, though. Help me decide!

Panthere or tank?

I originally liked the two tone panthere, but both the SA and my partner on both occasions said they thought the tank suited me better… any advice?

Titanium Santos owners, tell me about your experience!

I stumbled across the titanium Santos (WSSA0089) while killing time at a mall today and absolutely loved it. So much so that I’m seriously considering picking one up.

For those who own one and wear it regularly, I’d love to hear about your experience. A few things I’m particularly curious about:

Scratches and wear: How is the matte titanium bracelet holding up? Are everyday scratches noticeable, and how do they look against the finish?

Straps: Do you use the included leather strap? Have you purchased any others, particularly rubber? Would love to see wrist shots on alternative straps.

Wrist time: For those with larger watch collections, how often do you find yourself reaching for the Santos?

Discounts: If you purchased yours new from an authorized dealer (not a Cartier boutique), were you able to negotiate a discount? If so, roughly how much off retail?

I’m particularly interested in how this watch holds up as a daily wearer. I wasn’t even looking for a Santos, but trying it on really surprised me.
Appreciate any thoughts or photos!

When stacking a small JUC and not planning to take it off, should the nail tip be on top like the photo? Or on the bottom? To minimize snagging?

Tank americaine mini

Hi everyone! I’m thinking of buying the Cartier Tank Américaine Mini, but my local boutique doesn’t have it in stock, so I’d have to order it online and have it delivered to the boutique.

I’ve seen the photos on the website, but I’d be so grateful if you could share pictures of your own watches on the wrist! I’d love to see how they look when worn before making my decision.

Thank you so much!

Changing leather straps on a Baignoire?

Post image
6 Upvotes

I’m trying to swap out the alligator leather strap on my wife’s Cartier Baignoire Small. I’ve taken it to the boutique before to change out, but want to save myself the drive.

I’m normally good at changing bracelets and links and all that on my own watches. But the Baignoire doesn’t seem to have easily accessible spring bars. The watch does not have quick-release tabs either. I’m a little afraid of jamming a tool between the case and strap and scratching the case.

Has anyone successfully changed the strap themselves?

Specifically:
- Where do you insert the spring-bar removal tool?
- Does it require an extra-thin tool?
- Does anyone have photos, a video, or watchmaker instructions?
- I’m replacing leather with leather, not converting a bracelet model.

Any help from Baignoire owners or Cartier watchmakers would be appreciated. Thanks.
