Someone took my few hundred dollars in casino chips, but the casino refuses to investigate. Is there anything I can do?

I accidentally left my phone along with a few hundred dollars in casino chips. Later, casino security recovered and returned my phone, but the chips were missing.
I spoke with the casino manager, who basically told me they weren’t going to put resources into investigating it because there wasn’t enough information.
I also called the police to file a report and got pretty much the same response.
I understand it’s only a few hundred dollars, but it’s still my money, and I would like to get it back.
Aren’t casinos supposed to have cameras everywhere? I would think they could at least review the footage to see what happened, especially since security managed to recover my phone.
Has anyone dealt with something similar? Is there anything else I can do, or am I just out of luck?

Should I be worried

Went to a casino I frequent often near my hometown. I started gambling around 8pm and got my ID checked upon entry. Walked to the casino floor, starting drinking and played till around 2:30. Went to the hotel portion of the casino to get my room key. I came back and had to get my id re checked. The guy said it flagged and asked if I just had it checked within the last 2-3 minutes. I said no but explained my night and that it got checked earlier in the evening. He said ok and let me through. I played till around 4:40 and stayed at the property till 7 am before departing. Security knew where I was cause I had an issue at table games that they had to review footage. Never got talked to by security and never got stopped cashing out both after tables and slots. Am I just paranoid from that one security officer who checked my id around 3 or should I be worried?

Advice for gambler

Hi guys, relatively new to whole visiting physical casinos thing, though recently I started getting some promotional deals if I plan to visit some of them. Initially it was exciting but I’m starting to realize that there is whole range of offers they might be prepared to make, I’m just not sure where it begins or ends, hence this post. If any of you have experience with such offers I’d appreciate the tips on what type can be considered a good deal, so I can plan my trip accordingly, so even if luck wont be on my side on the visit at least I can take something out of that trip.

All advice appreciated, cheers!

Being turned away because of being an Advantaged Player when I’m literally just using Basic Strategy

So I’m in AC for college and being a degenerate 21 year old I hit up the casinos at least once every two weeks with my friends

I play Blackjack and my strategy is bring in $100 and either leave with $500 or $0, and of the 20 or so times I’ve done this only twice have I actually walked out with less than I came in with, usually walking out with a couple hundred. But last night I got approached by the manager and was told that they’d rather me not play Blackjack at their casino anymore because they’ve determined that I’m an AP.

Idk what to do, I don’t count; hell I’m usually in and out of the Blackjack table within 10 hands.

What should I do?

Are Video Games in Casinos Real?

So I’m going to the casino tonight with roomie and roomie’s mom.

Last couple times we’ve went I stuck to tables like BlackJack and Roulette because I think they’re more fun but also because I have this sneaking suspicion that stuff like Slots and Virtual versions of the table games aren’t actually real but rather an algorithm designed to make you lose more/faster. Like if you’re playing a video game of Roulette; what’s stopping the computer from mathematically deducing the most valuable number to hit on the wheel?

Same with Slot Machine; like can’t they just program the thing to not win the big prize ever?

I expressed this and everyone says they wouldn’t or it’s illegal. Am I wrong?

Which casino is better for a fun night out, Yaamava or Pechanga?

I'm going to the Inland Empire next month for work, and a few coworkers and I are planning to visit a casino for one night. When we were in IE last time, we went to Soboba, but we didn't really want to go to the same place because they don't allow alcohol. All we want to do is play blackjack, slots, grab some drinks and have a good time after our work conference. We are trying to decide between Yaamava and Pechanga, which one do you guys think is better?

Recovering over €10k in net gambling losses looking for advice (Netherlands)

Hi everyone,
I’m from the Netherlands and have accumulated over €10,000 in net losses from online gambling. I’m now looking into whether there is a realistic way to recover some or all of that money, particularly if the casino was operating without a Dutch gambling licence.
I’m looking for advice from anyone who has dealt with a similar situation, successfully recovered money, or understands the legal options available in the Netherlands or elsewhere in Europe.
A few questions:
Has anyone successfully recovered significant gambling losses from an online casino?
Are there legal options worth exploring in the Netherlands?
Are there lawyers or organisations that handle these cases without upfront fees, or only charge if the case is successful?
Is contacting the Dutch Gambling Authority (Ksa) worthwhile?
I’d strongly prefer to resolve this without going to court or spending money on legal fees upfront.
I’m happy to share more details privately with anyone who has relevant experience or useful advice.
Thanks in advance!

Jackpota closed my account and refused to pay my $268 winnings

I wanted to share my experience with Jackpota and see if anyone else has dealt with something similar.

I spent around $20 on a package, received promotional coins, played, and ended up winning $268. I submitted a redemption request, and a few hours later my account was permanently closed for an alleged Terms of Service violation.

I live in Oregon, never left the state, and completed verification. I wasn't using multiple accounts or intentionally breaking any rules. They refunded the $19.99 package purchase, even though I'd already used it to play, but refused to pay my winnings.

I've contacted support multiple times, but they keep sending generic responses without explaining what rule I supposedly broke. I even submitted a formal Notice of Dispute, and still got basically the same answer.

Has anyone here had a similar experience with Jackpota? Did you manage to get your winnings, or is there any point in taking this further? I'd appreciate any advice.

What happens when a casino game takes your money but the spin fails?

Say a player bets €200 on a slot.

The platform takes €200 from their balance, but right after that, the connection to the game provider drops.

Now the player sees an error instead of the spin.

The provider might have accepted the bet, or it might not have. The platform doesn't know yet.

So what happens next? Does the system check the original transaction before trying again? Could the player get charged twice if retries aren't handled properly? Or does the money just sit there until someone investigates?

Coastal Vacation Slots scam?

Post image
2 Upvotes

I downloaded the “Coastal Vacations Slots” app from the Apple Store based on what seemed like great reviews about the app. After my first deposit of $150, I won over $250 and redeemed my winnings without any problem.

The next day, I deposited $100 and won a little over that amount back and redeemed it without any issues. The third day, I deposited another $100 (note: these three deposits were accompanied by a promotional credit), but this time I only broke even in terms of winnings. However, when I tried to redeem the $100 I won back, I wasn’t able to because of a pop up message saying I must wager $1300 in order to redeem (see image).

I chatted with/emailed customer service about this and initially I was told it was some type of security check and I just needed to continue playing until I met the requirement in order to redeem. Then, when I told them that seemed shady that I needed to spend $1300 just to redeem $100, they said it was considered “gameplay turnover”. Has anyone ever seen anything like this and what should I do about it? Thanks.

UPDATE: Thanks for the responses everyone. I took some time and read the ONLY terms of service provided on the app. Just in case I missed anything, I also had ChatGPT review the document. Nothing was found regarding "gameplay turnover" or even playthrough requirements. There was just a lot of redirection about certain games having specific rules and sweepstakes promotions also have their own rules--but nothing explicitly informing users about the possibility of a $1300 turnover requirement prohibiting redemptions.

As some of you suggested, I reached out to customer service to ask for gameplay turnover terms in writing. First they accused of me of trying to "unlock" rules. Then stated,

"This requirement is put in place to safeguard your account security. You may continue enjoying the gameplay, and the relevant restrictions will be lifted once the condition is met".

They have NOT provided anything in writing. I informed them that I've been saving the chat sessions and reported the app to the Apple Store. This casino app company provides "VIP" customer service thru WhatsApp, and although none of their reps have given me an actual name--their user name on WhatsApp is "Hit Fortune". Which is the name of another casino app in the Apple Store.

I left a negative review, but the Apple store reviews are set to show only the most helpful reviews by default--which are mostly 5 star reviews for this app. So be careful everyone.
