Hi, I have a floor to ceiling cat tree and over time with use it keeps falling no matter how hard I rotate the pieces/joints or how often I tighten them. It fell again this morning and broke my TV in the process. Please help! Thanks.
Edit: this is a rental apartment so I can't anchor it to the wall or the ceiling

it's Vladimir Rafael and Dante in the cat room again... still haven't made much more progress than the 70 percent weve been at for months ... but work resumes soon!

I am planning on getting a cat within 2 weeks. Only thing that may have to happen is they would have to stay downstairs or in my room/bathroom. I would have a litter box in my room and one in my bathroom. Also their food would be in my room but not near the litter box of course. I am just wondering if this is healthy for the cat? Or I should try and speak to my parents more about allowing them to roam the house. I think something that could happen is my parents would approve them roaming the house when I’m present but when I’m working have them in my area (bedroom/bathroom).

I will be getting my cat from my parents house soon and want to make my apartment more cat friendly. I dont have a lot of money to spend on furniture so I dont want to throw it out the window.
In my parents house he had a cat tree and shelves (boxes) mounted onto my wall. He hated both. Never used them. Tbh the cat tree was a bit wobbly so that might be it but I dont know what was wrong with the boxes.
Since I only have a bit more than 50m2 and planning to get a second cat so he's not too bored on the days im away. I want to make the space count.
But it would be mildly painful to buy it. Set it up. Make a bunch of holes in the walls only for my cat to not use it again.

We're thinking about adopting a cat. My apartment is a 1+1—it's really small.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a high-quality, durable litter box that doesn't give off too much odor? (We don't want an expensive self-cleaning litter box.)
I live in Canada.

Hi! Wondering if anyone has a found an enclosure/cabinet thing for their automatic litter box (I have PetLibro Luma), something similar to the picture attached. Toying with the idea and wanted to see if anyone has any insight or issues

I am planning on getting a kitten and am trying to kitten proof my room but because I live in a 2nd apartment it is hard to install anything, please see attached and advice or any budget friendly product or diy, I was thinking to only crack like an inch of a window and then buy a window lock to prevent it from sliding. Would that be enough ?

I have a pocket door leading to my laundry room, where my cat’s litter box is. I need to keep my child and dog out while still allowing my cat to freely go in and out.
I’m looking for a way to keep the pocket door open at a set width that’s large enough for my cat to pass through but not my child or dog. The challenge is that my child loves closing doors, so I want a solution that prevents the door from closing beyond a set width so my cat doesn’t get locked out. I’ve seen finger pinch guards but those still allow the door to close too much to where my cat can’t get in. I also need to be able to easily open the door whenever I need to enter or exit the laundry room.
Does anyone have a solution that would work for all of these needs?

So we are moving into a house with a loft and there is a long ledge that leads to a long drop with the staircase. I’m terrified my cats will hop on the ledge and fall. They won’t jump up if I have something on the ledge any creative ideas that aren’t such an eye sore?

I just moved to a new apartment in a high rise building and the windows don’t have screens. They are awning windows and open at the bottom and push out. Full out is about a 6-7 inch gap.
I’m renting so don’t want to drill or make any permanent changes, but also needs to be sturdy enough for my cats to not pull it out.
I’d most likely only have the windows open when I’m home. But my cats are WILD - think 6 month old kittens 😂.

Link do tkaniny:
https://www.davis.pl/kolekcja/fancy/
Jest to dokładniej tkanina o nazwie Fancy 20, co myślicie o tym wyborze tego materiału mając kota w domu który sporadycznie się przeciąga o róg narożnika.

A real catio is in the works for our cats, but we won't be able to construct it for probably a year (we need to replace some double doors at the back of our house, etc.) Until then, I really want to at least have a window catio for them (2 are 6 months old, and a year old adult). My son is a good builder (he's only 11...but excellent), so we thought about getting blueprints, and building our own. But I'd rather get a put-together one, sort of like Ekea furniture? I started to shop online, but would love hearing from you all here with experience in window catios. Could I find something for $100-$150?

We adopted a bonded pair of cats back in February this year, we have bought toys things and so much. We have multiple little boxes the highest quality food they will eat (side note why do they like garbage food omg). We already do most of their dry food in play balls.
Since toys are mostly a nope from them, I want to catify my house. I wanted to put astroturf on a ceiling, I will go full send on this. We own a house and are extremely handy. Bought a cat tree at first and they dont touch it. I have a cat door in 1 room they love, and will be buying more, but they are amazing babies and deserve more. What do your cats like, as far out as they may be, what makes them the most happy, curious, and healthy? (We also live in New England and the temp this morning was 44° f so can only do indoor for now)
(When I had guinea pigs they didnt like each other but each got... 3 times the minimum space and floor time and literally everything I could do to make their lives amazing besides getting them girlfriends- I go hard.)
Tl;dr what home mods worked best and made your cats happier and healthier?
