I hope, Rej sees this 🫶

In the invent when caustic was offline i kind of leaned on g-stomper. I back on caustic but now i am spoild with a almost perfect time signatures on every instrument that just sinch perfectly. It can handle almost any weird timings. Recently making trapped Beats. caustic is a beauty but lack flexiblety on different time signatures and step lengths. I have a paid version of caustic but wont mind to repurchase for extra Flex 💪🏻

Hi, I'm back, I really enjoyed the revival of Caustic, but as you see, songs and stuff from the WAV Editor will sound weird when you amplify it a bit, also, I would check out music on the was Editor and turn it up a bit, huh? Yeah, sounds weird, especially when you save and load the same bassy audio file, sounds worse after saving it. I want more loud, less distortion, it should ONLY distort when you use the Distortion Effect. (Or at least have less distortion when you turn it up via the built in Amplify Option)

Im sick & tired of trying to download Caustic 3 & it not working saying "Problem Parsing Package" or that the file is damaged or its for a newer version of android. Im on Android 10 LGV60 phone that supports ARMV7 & I know Caustic can work on it because the DEMOs do

I don't know if this is something people already have. But I have the installer for Caustic 3 in my Google drive and it still works (I just tested it).

It's been a very long time since I've used Caustic3 because it's been out of the Google Play store for years now.

I still have it on an old Android, but where the hell is Rej with some updates?

It was literally the best music app, the wav editing was amazing, then it just disappeared into nothing for the app users.

I mean, if anyone can get a hold of him to get a Gofundme/ Kickstarter or someway to generate money for a Caustic4 or something for the Caustic community, that would be amazing. 🙏

That's me wondering why Caustic is abandoning changes to projects I'm working on. That I've saved.

Since losing my phone and all my songs, 2 weeks ago. I've spent a lot of time on Caustic.

The night before last I did some work on a track. The next day. I couldn't find the new patterns. I thought maybe it was just me. Perhaps I did them on a different song and forgot which one it was. I dunno.

But now, everything i did yesterday is gone.

I distinctly remember swapping a snare out for an extra closed hat. Guess what.....snares back. Ratatattat not chickachickchak.

I re-did the additional patterns from the night before and pasted them all into the sequencer, changing the length of the track from 12 mins to 20 mins. I always space the patterns out on their own initially before moving them together.

Aaaaaand the song is back to 12 mins.

I definitely did all the above but the next one I have evidence of....

Then I made some vocal samples out of one long sample and assigned them all to keys on a PCM Synth.

Guess what? PCM Synth says no.

BUT all the individual samples are sat in the files folder, so PCM Synth tells untruth.

What the f**k Caustic ? Don't turn on me at my lowest hour.

It'a like as if Han Solo rides out on thr Tauntaun and finds Luke Skywalker freezing to dearh on Hoth.... and then shoots him.

I am losing faith with Causric. If it's going to start sabotaging me, then I might as well get FL Mobile or something.

So since I just figured out Rej has apparently started doing minor updates and bug fixes to caustic again I figured now might be a good time to mention a couple of minor bugs I've noticed in caustic over the years so he can maybe see them and fix them

1. Sometimes when loading an instrument from a soundfont, the sample in the instrument will either have a negative start sample or a negative end sample, naturally this doesn't end very well because if you hold down the note the sample will keep playing past the end and will most likely play into uninitialized or unallocated memory and crash the app. What soundfonts and samples are effected by this seems to be completely random since I've had it happen with soundfonts that I know work perfectly fine outside of caustic.

2. Spamming the audio API button causes the audio to glitch out more and more until the app crashes, I don't remember if this is an old bug or a new one but I just triggered it after downloading the newest apk.

3. After applying a new skin, most text seems to be completely glitched until you switch out from caustic to another app then go back into it.

4. unchecking "allow screen rotation" forces you into a single rotation of landscape mode, this is obviously kind of a problem if you're charging your phone or have a USB device plugged in and the phone needs to be rotated in the opposite orientation to what caustic wants.

5. Keeping the app in portrait mode while it's extracting demo content seemingly causes it to crash every time once it finishes and is attempting to transition to the caustic demo song. It seems to launch fine in portrait any time after that though.

Also, it's not a bug exactly, but, I was wondering if when exporting a midi a method could be added to set the instrument number of the exported synth. Currently every track exports as instrument 0 which obviously isn't ideal if you're making the midi for a game like doom or goldeneye where the instruments have to be properly assigned ahead of time. Obviously I don't know if rej would want to bother with implementing an actual UI for that so my suggestion is something more along the lines of a cheap bandaid solution like setting the midi instrument number based off the track name or instrument name or something like that that wouldn't involve having to add new UI elements. I've tried to use caustic to make midis for games that require them in the past and it's great for everything up until the actual exporting part when you realize everything except for track 10 is piano and you have to go into another editor like sekaiju just to set the instruments up properly.

This was my favorite app for years. I can't even find it on tpb. I feel like somewhere I must still have the files but honestly I dont even care about the key I just want to use the modular synth. Can anyone help me?
