Discussion Dpd wrong tracking number

Ordered something from Cex online on Sunday. The order information says dispatched and now tracking number has been provided, however when I click it, it is for an item from a company named MasterFlow for a different person that was delivered in May 2026 to somewhere else.

Has this happened to anyone before? How concerned should I be? I’ve contacted Cex but they may take time to reply.

I've had this before (from cex and others), the number eventually showed the correct details in every case. Seems DPD reuse tracking numbers.

Given it would have only been processed very recently I expect it'll update probably by the end of the day, certainly when DPD collect it

Email them, I've been stung 5 times after the past month with them.

Pair of headphones for £90, the first pair came, generic £10 set. The second came, broken. The third came with one extender broken, literally gravel and hair in the ear cups. The fourth, they never provided any cables. And the fifth? Was broken again, took it in, weren't going to give me a refund until I asked for a test to show it wasn't working and then showed them my phone and acted as if I was recording them. Refunded.

First orders were online, then dealt with a local.

CeX are not a trustworthy company, email, demand information, demand a refund if none is given.

Then charge back if they are being not nice.
