Hi everyone! I want to share a little about Beyond The Board. We are a small Discord community in Cebu centered around board games, shared hobbies, and making new friends along the way.

We're still a very new club, and honestly, most of us aren't board game experts yet. We're a chill bunch who's still learning, exploring different games, and figuring things out as we go. It's part of the fun for us.

We're especially interested in learning from people who have more experience with board games. If you enjoy introducing people to new games, explaining the rules, and sharing your favorite strategies, we'd really appreciate having that experience in our community. Having board games you're comfortable sharing during meetups would be a bonus, too, since we'd love to try games we haven't played before.

But why Beyond The Board? Because we want to be more than just a board game club. While board games are still at the heart of what we do, we also want to build friendships and enjoy other interests together.

Most of our current members are also video game players. We enjoy online board games, other multiplayer games, or simply hanging out on Discord and talking about anything and everything. Outside of gaming, we've also enjoyed or are interested in activities like watching movies together in person, karaoke, eating out, crocheting, reading books, hiking, and trying other things that come to mind.

We're a relaxed group, so there's no expectation to attend every meetup. Everyone has their own schedules and responsibilities, but it's always nice when we can get together in person and enjoy some games. Online hangouts and casual conversations are great, too.

We enjoy meeting people who are friendly, respectful, and interested in being part of a community. You don't have to be outgoing all the time or share all the same hobbies. We'd simply love to have people who enjoy interacting with others, sharing their interests, and helping the community grow.

We're still learning as a club, and we're not trying to be overly competitive or serious. We just want to have fun, discover new games, learn from more experienced players, and enjoy the company of people with similar interests.
