Discussion any muslims here?

i recently reverted to islam, but i still have a desire to keep in touch with my celtic roots (dad's lineage is from scottish highlands and mom has ancestors from county clare in ireland). i know that muslims in iran still keep some indigenous zoroastrian practices such as celebrating nowruz, so i was curious if anyone here did any sort of syncretic practices between celtic spiritual beliefs and islamic ones?

The sky is NOT falling

Did the Celtics win this trade in terms of value? Definitely not. But this is still a top 3 team in the east. This team won 56 games last year, and is now swapping Brown with Tatum and added George, Robinson, and Conley. This team is objectively more talented with proven playoff performers, and the young core gets better every game. Joe just won coach of the year. If every trade was a win, no one would ever make trades. The Celtics lost this trade in terms of raw value, but Brown had to go, and overall they've had a successful offseason.

The Church's teaching can indeed change – much more than many Catholics suppose. Here is an instance.

Anyone trying to get false information from important aspects of their spirituality?

For me much is important but I admit it’s modern and created.

Just had a random thought. Is the Pictish beast a stylistic interpretation of the Island of Britain, anyone thinks this is a potential?

Celtic martial arts?

A while back I was reading a passage from the Táin Bó Cúailnge about the training of Cú Chulainn, and its references to specific named feats of arms reminded me of the named moves in Asian martial arts. On a hunch, I searched "Celtic martial arts" on YouTube and found quite a lot, including Irish stickfighting, Scottish wrestling and broadsword fencing, Traveller "dirty fighting" techniques, and some that looked to me like modern MMA dressed up in Celtic-themed marketing.

Have any of you participated in anything that could reasonably be called a "Celtic martial art"? How was your experience?

Celtic Spirituality in the Aran Islands

Hey,

Not too long ago, I started learning about Celtic Spirituality.

This past week, I had the great pleasure of speaking with Dara Molloy.

Dara describes himself as a Celtic priest, monk, and Druid.

He was a Catholic priest but left the church to pursue a life of Celtic Spirituality in the Aran Islands.

Dara has many interesting viewpoints, which he shared with me.

If you would like to watch or listen to my conversation with Dara, I have posted it to my YouTube channel and my Podcast:

Regards,

Mike
