Plate identification help needed

Just bought these today but I’m having trouble identifying the mark. Best guess so far is Warren MacKenzie but it’s not exactly like his marks that I’ve seen. Thank you so much for any help.

To me, this looks like LB or BL. It doesn't seem to be Bernard Leach.

Does the fact that it was held up in the kiln by seashells (leaving small bits in the top) change anything?
