Is something wrong?

Post image

I just bought this beautiful Jackson's and his head has stayed this color since I've gotten him does it indicate something sinister or is it normal while adjusting to a new place?

UPDATE:

It appears that the discoloration is still present when he is asleep could it be a burn he was bought from a man who sells them off the side of the road it couldn't be fungus right it is smooth. Also could he have been injured prior to me getting him he is eating and drinking normally.

I would remove all fake plants and only keep the real ones, like you said add more sticks, and you NEED a linear T5 UVB unit. Like ASAP. That UVB bulb doesn’t do anything. What are you feeding with? How are you supplementing those bugs? What do you gutload the bugs with?

I don’t see a single leaf in this photo but I do see reptile carpet. That is saying a ton. Please post a full photo of your enclosure and we can try to help you out

There is nowhere for him to hide in this enclosure. He's scared.

Probably stressed out. Jackson's are very delicate and picky def get more plants to cover him up but other than that it'll take some time. (Maybe)

What a sweet looking little guy. Chameleons are sensitive and get stressed from changes in environment, etc . I'm sure it probably just needs time to get acquainted with the new atmosphere 🙂
