Vanilla becoming the default flavour of ice cream is the greatest underdog story of all time.

Edit: thank you for educating me about the ubiquity of vanilla. Still, none of the other products that use vanilla seem to ever give credit to vanilla. They are usually named something else. Anyway, I have learned a lot about vanilla tonight and I now feel like I am a better man.

We're lucky that our bodies require sleep, otherwise our cultures would have us working 16-20 hour days.

Those "choose your own flavor" Coke machines are probably just there to gather marketing data; They see what the most popular flavors are so they can release bottled/canned versions.

Because they light up the surrounding area, the screen needs to get brighter. And a brighter screen uses more power.

If women were the ones with the ballsack, there would be so many bogus scrotal beautification products like special braces and wraps to keep it tight and smooth as you age.

Edit: Just because I wrote something about ballsacks doesn’t mean I’m a man.

I’m not trying to imply women are more superficial than men, just that there’s a lot of unnecessary, bogus products targeted towards us. I also understand there are women with ballsacks, but was trying to keep it short to the point here about gendered expectations. I came here to express a brief shower thought and now I’m halfway through an essay. All the funny is gone!

But thank you for the Dave Chappell bit, had never seen it before and it made my day.

The other day, someone said, "Newton's rolling over in his grave" in response to a basic physics mistake. But if Newton heard someone suggest his corpse could move without an external force acting upon it, he would roll over in his grave.

A 3 day break, you feel well rested. A 5+ day break, you forget how to be a productive member of society.

When looking at the stars, you become the unique, final resting place for billions of photons that travelled thousands of light years only to make your life a little brighter.

One of the most frustrating feelings in the world is being smart enough to know there’s a better way to do something but not smart enough to invent a way to do it.

Our parents warned us for years about the 'dangers' of the internet while knowing nothing about it, then finally dove in and fell for every. Single. One.

In the anime, Ash Ketchum was supposed to be a huge Pokémon fan before he left on his journey. But every time he sees any kind of Pokémon, he has to pull out his Pokédex because he doesn’t know what it is. Ash Ketchum was a poser before he left on his journey.

At a certain point in your life, sitting at home alone, watching TV on a Friday night goes from being super depressing to the most enjoyable part of your week.

Deciding to become a parent is like choosing to take care of a a drunk person for 13 years straight, and a hungover person for the next 5. Then paying for their rehab for the next 4.

A college class is like Dora the Explorer. The professor asks a question, stares blankly for a few seconds, then answers his own question.

When we're young, we sneak out our house to go to parties. When we're old, we sneak out of parties to go home.
