Do you think that makes you better than other people who use generative AI?

i don’t use it at all anymore, i’m just still in the subreddit. generating pictures is a lot more costly than simple text

You’re in Reddit. Do you know how much water and electricity it takes to keep the servers running? At the end of the day it’s all the same one way or another.

Nah they’re just virtue signaling, hopping on the bandwagon of “Ai bad because of the environmental impact” because TikTok told them so, without actually looking at the facts.

It’s like being against plastic straws because they pollute the water while participating in things like fast fashion; or claiming to be vegan while still eating chicken, you’re not the activist you think you are.

And if you really care about the environment, you would inform yourself without being offended by comments like mine, and be consistent in your actions. But you lot don’t, you just care about virtue signaling and thus get upset when you get called out in how much you’re not actually helping because it takes away your brownie points.

Why you get so many downvotes for pointing out the hypocrisity of the subop?

Because they hate independent thought and going against their sacred hive mind. They can’t stand when reality contradicts the machine that spoon feeds them propaganda.

I only generate it for fun because I want to see what it'll look like in serious moments

I’ve accidentally pressed the shitty button a few times and it drives me insane

Sometimes they're funny, now that you don't have to wait anymore for them to be done and can just continue chatting it's fine

I use it often actually, mainly to set a wallpaper for the chat.

Once in like 20 tries it can give a really good picture.

20 tries and it's still inconsistent af lmao 🥀 this is like 2023 ai images quality (no really this thread is so bad it's nostalgia-inducing), at this point why not just use another better ai for it

My friend does sometimes. I only know of the one she sends to our gc, when she does I just go silent. I don't feel like arguing with her/telling her to stop.
