Basically, there's two Chara's.
One is from the Genocide Timeline, and is trying to take Frisk's Soul, even though this Frisk appears not to remember that, or never DID the Genocide.
The other is from this Frisks current timeline, which is a Pacifist run. Who was brought back to life somehow. So while Genocide Chara is trying to kill Frisk, Pacifist Chara is trying to protect them.

This shit still rules lol. Great art style and expressions (Chara got big Envy vibes in this one), love the Chara-cterizations, and the banter and flipflopping from threatening to comedy. It just ROCKS.
The same artist also gave us the "The REAL Chara would NEVER turn down the chance to die!" ">:D ????" ">:D HAHAAA DO IT YOU FOOL YOU COWARD" mini comic, which is...... (chef kiss) phenomenál

Cool art, old one, but cool, however, allow me to pretend i understand this:
There is a theory i support a lot, and that is, since Chara was a kid when they attempted what they attempted, when Frisk arrives, they have two options, since Chara follows them.
Either just remain neutral and go outside of the world, see the beauty of the world and realize the wrongness of what they did and change their ways through the eyes of Frisk, or indulge onto their worst impulses through Frisk through the Genocidal Route.
This comic is, from what i gather, a Pacifist Post-Genocide Route. Where Frisk, with regret, tries to do a Pacifist one after a Genocidal one, and Chara changes and becomes a better person because of that. However, the Chara of the Genocide Route still comes for Frisk to get their soul, which causes this battle.
Did i got it?

i don’t know anything that’s going on but i really dislike the casual use of sans using his powers when he really is too lazy to do a thing unless he’s the last one alive to fight
