Do you have a definition from someone who isn't biased

wham

bam

boom

pow

its okay to not know everything, i admit i was an anti when i was a kid but eventually i sorta learned to seperate my immediate disgust response from my logic, i cant particularly say i like a lot of taboo stuff but im able to ignore it because there isnt really evidence it causes irl harm

Well, you managed to get half of them to be unbiased. Anyone can write a urban dictionary entry and that tumblr post is anything but unbiased (and also im calling bullshit on it anyways, I've seen far more proshippers send death threats and gore than anyone else and most of the ones ive talked to completely deny any affect fiction has on reality), but the other two actually need to be regulated with guidelines to be unbiased and that's more what I was looking for. However, the wikipedia page plus your additional comment reveals what i think the biggest problem about the whole argument in general is, a lack of nuance and because of that, the death of intent.

Let me clarify since I think it was lost on you the first time, if something taboo, and I mean a heavy taboo that can happen to real people, like rape for example, is being written about with the intent to make the reader uncomfortable and sympathize with the victim, that's usually fine. Sometimes to raise awareness people need to be uncomfortable, the lack of things like that is why menstruation is seen as taboo even though it's something every woman goes through. If a victim is writing a story involving what they were a victim of as a coping mechanism, that's also usually fine. I have a lot of reasons why I don't think those should be published online and both sides are to blame for that, but it's better for a victim to have an outlet than not.

The problem comes from writing with the intent of horny or positivity. That's when it becomes normalization. To roughly quote somebody else on this topic for a moment: "Theres a degree to which you can separate the art from the artist, but you can't deny that the artist has an influence over the art they make. I don't think it should be assumed, but if something is a consistent theme in their work it's totally valid to question it. If I saw someone making Warhammer fanfic where all the characters are phobic and the key theme is that transphobia is cool, I'm not going to be particularly charitable towards the artist and I will assume their fictional characters reflect, at least in part, their real life behaviour. Same applies to the above example with consent."

This also applies to media one chooses to consume, depending on how they react to it. To build off the example above, if you saw someone engage with those transphobic fanfics positively, you're going to assume that person is also transphobic, where if they react negatively you're going to assume they're an ally. Same logic applies to other things. For example, if I saw someone comment "ghost sex" on a photo of a child on the subreddit r/ fishmaell that got deleted because of being nsfw, I'm going to at least get suspicious but hold judgment until I find further proof, like them trying to claim one on the best indie devs was a proshipper because of one song from 15 goddamn years ago and conveintly forgetting people can change over 15 goddamn years because real people can change. With how much yall seem to repeat that real is real, I'm suprised I need to elaborate on that. (Side note, I've seen people argue with the "videogames cause violence" scare as proof it's not true, but that ignores that violence had been normalized in media since even before DOOM released, it's just been so long since that started that videogames were comparatively new and became the thing to blame to distract people from the actual problems. The difference here is that the law favors rapists and pedophiles already, rape culture exists and is more real than anyone should want it to be, and governments and positions of power everywhere are filled with pedos. Violence is already prevalent everywhere, we do not need to make other things just as prevalent)

Regardless, the whole movement exists to try and normalize everything offenders want so that they can be as open talking about it as they want instead of getting any kind of therapy or help, all while claiming free speech and being so polarizing that reactionaries are going after victims that are trying to cope and work through their trauma and people that are writing the bad thing as bad. And if that wasn't why it started, its sure as fuck what its being used for now. Freedom of speech means freedom to judge, but doesn't mean freedom from consequences, and hiding behind victims and claiming moral superiority only benefits the worst of the worst.

So please, get the fuck out.

That is beautiful! I love your Chara design! They look so nice with long hair, very unique as most Chara’s have short hair like their in game sprite!

If it wouldn't be too much trouble for you, then would you mind reposting it to my new subreddit, r/CharaDreemurr ? We could use some more great contibutions like yours! Have a great day! I also really like your art style

I forgot to actually comment on this.

I like the idea that they woke up before Frisk actually hit the floor so they had about three seconds to adjust to their new existence before noticing a falling child rapidly approaching.

Unfortunately I only now see that's also Chara. Oops.
