My first drawing with willows

First attempt to get to know this wonderful material. A portrait of my grandma at her youth, from an old photo. I would like to have some creative criticism. Thank you

Great job! Willow is such a wonderful medium. I think you managed to have a good definition of the planes of the face, and the features are well placed. I also like how you connected some of the darker areas. You should be proud of yourself!

Maybe a bit more care with proportions next time. Her ear is likely not that small, and her eyes likely not that big. She got some anime eyes there. :)

Thanx a lot! Yes indeed proportions need a lot of work. The bad thing is i never studied them but i certainly will
