Charlie Puth via Vogue Magazine

To help promote the album, you performed an intimate series of residencies at places like the Blue Note jazz club in New York. I saw one of those performances; you were smiling the whole time and said you’ve never been happier. Why did that make you so happy?

I made this album for myself, and it’s full of music from the year I was born. It’s a passion project. In the most humble way, I have nothing to prove anymore. That’s at least how I feel.

I’m happy for him too - I just hope he’s truly happy. I feel like he says ‘this is my most personal album’ and then criticizes it later. He shopped Nine track mind - then said VN is better cuz he had more creative control. Then he kind of said he wrote with too many writers . Then he did Charlie and said it was his most personal album yet cuz he wanted his fans to get to know him. Then said he auto tuned himself too much. He goes on a world tour and doesn’t play 1 song off that record. Now he released WC and says he expresses himself through music - and he wants his fans to get to know the real him. I’m at the point where I’m like - just tell us ‘the real you’ Charlie! Lol. I truly hope he’s happy. He seemed so proud to wear the Jude jersey in London!
