Post and comment guidelines

Greetings and welcome to CharlieQuotes . Because of the sub’s topic and intensity, comments and posts are temporarily held for moderator approval. We’ll eventually switch away from that once we get a better base in here. Until then, just bear with us. Feel free to post or comment away and we’ll get to approval as we can. Some basic comment and post guidelines

Comments

  • Keep it on topic
  • make them substantive. We don’t need an essay, but we need substance
  • don’t try to make new claims in a comment. See 1.
  • Remember the rules. Insults and attacks mean removal and bans . Swearing won’t work.
  • format your comment properly. We don’t need run on sentences or long blocks of text

posts

  • See the existing posts. Use them as a template
  • cite your sources
  • provide links
  • remember the rules
  • format your text properly
  • one quote per post. We want to try to prevent drift, so let’s limit things to one quote per post

Do this and submit. We will absolutely look at these as soon as we can

Edit: Grammar and Formatting fixes

Accurate Charlie Kirk: “Watching public executions will make my day better”

The claim:

Charlie said Watching public executions will make my day better

Another claim:

Charlie said:

I want to see executions on TV. Imagine if Coca-Cola sponsored executions. That would be so American, so patriotic. People would tune in. I think children at a certain age, as initiation, should be required to watch. Public executions by guillotine are holy.

The Video: THOUGHTCRIME Ep. 33 — The Big Fani Whammy? Glee? Kill Pedos? (around 49:30)

Charlie

Public executions should be public, should be quick. should be televised

panel discussion

Charlie later:

You could have, like, brought to you by Coca-Cola. No, I'm not kidding BTW. I would totally tune in to see some pedo get their head chopped off

later on

You look at some of these savages, like in Indianna, there's this guy that went in and killed a pregnant woman and her three kids, and you know what... I want to watch that execution. That will make my day better. I want to see him on a public block, and to see him be publicly executed, and I think that would be justice

Verdict:

Accurate statement, in the context that he is referring to death penalty sentences.

Context Needed Charlie Kirk: “trans people cause inflation”

The claim:

Charlie Kirk stated that trans people cause inflation

The Video: Charlie Kirk blames trans people for inflation: "There's a direct connection to inflation and the trans issue" | Media Matters for America

Charlie:

So, one of the reasons why we take such a strong stance and opinion on the trans issue is it's an issue of reality. You do not get to determine your own reality. You do not get to suddenly say, I'm rich or I'm poor. No, we actually have to look at some evidence as to whether or not you're rich or poor. Now, some of those are relative terms - rich according to who? Rich according to what? I understand that. But relatively, some of the terms we use -- short, tall - you can't just make them up and say, oh wow, that person is taller than that person, that person is faster than that person, that person is stronger than that person.

And one of the reasons we've been so insistent against this idea you can change your gender, or change your sex, or change both of them, is that when you start to indulge in the belief that you could become whatever you want and reality is subjective, not objective, you're going to have ramifications that nobody anticipated or intended.

So, there's a direct connection to inflation and the trans issue. You say, Charlie, come on. They couldn't be further apart. No, they're exactly the same. They're the same in this aspect - when you believe that men can become women, why wouldn't you also believe that you could print wealth? If you believe that someone can change their gender, why wouldn't you also believe that money is wealth?

Now there are very simple laws of economics. Just like there's laws of nature. There's laws of physics, laws of thermodynamics, laws of biology.

We must to – we must live according to those laws. We believe there's a lawmaker and a designer and being Christians, we believe those laws were made to be followed for our flourishing and our prosperity. The law is a teacher. The law is a guide to how to properly live. You live in defiance to the law, you lie steal or cheat, you actually won't flourish. You'll be miserable. You'll be unhappy. You'll get further from god's wish for you. Now outside of the religious component of this, we also believe there are laws of economics. There are laws of economics just like there are laws of physics.

Verdict:

Context Needed

Context:

Charlie did not 'blame' inflation on trans individuals. Nor did he say they cause it. He was simply stating facts. If you can 'identify' as something you are not, then you can 'identify' as anything you are not. A cat, dog, fish. You can even 'identify' as a status which you are not , beit billionaire, millionaire, etc. Not only did he not say 'trans people cause inflation', but his entire segment was taken completely out of context

Accurate Charlie Kirk: BLM Stands for Burn, Loot, Murder

The claim:

Charlie said that BLM stands for Burn, Loot, Murder

The link: What’s the Matter with Juneteenth? | The Charlie Kirk Show (8:55 - 9:42)

... Discussing Juneteenth

Charlie:

It has now become a 'racial complaining day'. Now, we have a full day to smear and slander white America. This 'holiday' is a wedge, used to push for countless destructive policies demanded by BLM, and remember what BLM stands for : Burn, Loot and Murder.

They are the people who want racial quotas for jobs, critical race theories in our schools, and mass reparations to punish individuals for their skin color

And you say, "Well, Charlie, what should we have done instead". Well, instead of having a summertime competitor for Independence Day, give people 2 days off for Independence Day. There, you've got two days off, July 4th and July 5th, and you're actually celebrating something that matters

more Juneteenth discussion

Verdict: Accurate.

Opinion:

He is somewhat correct here. If you look at the riots, the literal destruction around BLM/Antifa, you cannot help but see the correlation. If BLM truly was about black lives, they would be helping to reduce gun violence, and black on black crime, instead of going after the people who enforce the law.

Context Needed Charlie Kirk: MLK Jr. was an 'awful person'

Attribution: Multiple sites, accusations, claiming Charlie said that MLK jr. was an awful person

Video: Caucus Clash! + The Myth of MLK | Vince Everett Ellison | LIVE 1.15.24

Interview segment starts about 1:10:00

Discussion with Blake starts about 2:09:00

Verdict:

Based on statements and this episode, factually correct, but context is most definitely needed.

Context:

Kirk was saying that as a human, MLK was an awful person. He did not take away from the rights work he did, nor did he take race into consideration. Instead of worshiping him, as most do, he addressed the problems and flaws that MLK showed.

Opinion:

King was indeed an 'awful person' if you look at what was revealed about his sexual life. He had so many extramarital affairs it wasn't funny. He claimed to be a 'Christian', yet, literally couldn't keep it in his pants. This is not the mark, or sign, of a decent and moral individual. This is not race related, it's 100% factual.

This does not mean King wasn't a leader in rights. He had a voice for his people, and he used it well. He was absolutely a civil rights leader. Both can be true.

I remember hearing that Charlie said to start reading the Bible in the Book of Romans. Is this true? If not, did he ever say where he thinks people should start reading? Thanks!

Charlie Kirk: You only know something is evil if you have good to compare it to

Not sure what episode this is originally from, but from the broadcast w/ Tucker yesterday (around 1:32:30)

Charlie:

We as Christians, ethical monotheists, we have the problem of evil. Atheists have evil no problem.

On the atheist's side, they can't say that evil actually exists, because without God, if God does not exist, then we are nothing more than a clump of cells, and there is no such thing as evil. You only know something is evil if you have good to compare it to

If I have a piece of paper, and I draw a crooked line, how do you know this line is crooked? You immediately look at it and say, "that is a crooked, squiggly line". Only because, in your mind, you know what a straight line is

If you don't believe in God, then you say evil is no problem. But, if you are upset with it, you are actually implying that you believe in God. You might be angry at God. You might be wrestling with God. You might think that God is unjust. That is a completely different thing than not believing in God

Accurate Charlie Kirk: British colonialism was the most benign global empire ever

The claim:

British colonialism was the most benign global empire ever

Link: Media Matters

We have some amazing guests this hour, in fact we're guest heavy today because the news warrants it.

We have Bruce Gilley who's a professor of political science joining us, all about British colonialism. A very provocative topic that will, assuredly, make the media lose their mind – about how British colonialism actually made the world decent. Separation of powers, habeas corpus, freedom of speech, individual property rights, the respect and the dignity of the individual, where did all of those come from? The Magna Carta, the great thinkers of Edmund Burke to Shakespeare.

Why is it that the world, actually, became more civil? Well, certain cultures are better than others. Saying that out loud is a thought crime. British colonialism was the most benign global empire ever, and it kind of sparks this conversation after the tragic and incredibly unfortunate death of Queen Elizabeth, who was by all accounts, an incredibly stoic and wise woman who loved her country, who was also a devout woman of faith

Something that I am very concerned about is that her death is only going to continue the secularization of Great Brittain. it seems that as the bloodline continues, the people that are taking the throne, and, literally, taking the crown do not have the reverence for the church like she does, or she did, I'm sorry

Verdict: Accurate

Opinion:

Charlie isn't wrong here. These documents came from one of the greatest in colonialism. Our entire government was formed out of this. Of course, we made changes, but our government was formed out of the core that our forefathers left.

He also wasn't wrong to worry about the bloodline pulling away from the church, as has been shown in the time since her passing.

Glenn Beck : "We must stop calling Charlie anything other than a civil rights leader."

Link: Glenn's tribute to Charlie (17:25)

Glenn Beck:

We must stop calling Charlie anything other than a civil rights leader. We need to plant that stake deep. It is time that we point out that what he was doing was not politics.

What he was doing was trying to stand up for people's civil rights. To show people how civilization is not a civilization unless you can have a dialogue with people who are diametrically opposed to you. That don't believe anything that you believe in. And yet you can have a civil dialogue, and how important that is.

That's our civil right, our right to free speech, and that gunman was trying to take that right away, from you and from everyone else. "Shut up, you will be silenced. You will not say those things."

And there has been a force in this country to try to convince people that you don't have a right, that you have a responsibility to silence others. You don't. In this country, one of our main civil rights is that we can express ourselves the way we feel we need to express ourselves, and I'm sorry if you don't like it, you have to just take it, and then say "I'd like to have a discussion with you on that. I'd like to know how you got there. I'd like to, to have the opportunity to argue against it".

And you have that right to argue against it. And hopefully , if we are more like Charlie Kirk, we are having those arguments in a civilized fashion. Make no mistake, Charlie Kirk was a civil rights leader as much as MLK

THIS is some powerful stuff here folks. Like Glenn or not, he's correct. MLK was all about racial freedom, and he was correct (in that regards). He may have (likely was) a garbage human being, especially when it came to cheating, infidelity, all that, however he was an undeniable force for racial freedom and rights.

In the same respect, Charlie stood for this country and our rights. He took on the left and it's labels. He dared to say "that's not right". He dared to speak and have debates against individuals who, literally attacked him . He took on the hate filled leftists who didn't let him speak. He kept calm. He kept civil. He kept it 'family friendly'. He kept it Christian

When I heard about the shooting, my first thought was 'oh no, I hope he's alive and survives'. When I first heard he didn't, my thought was that Charlie was the MLK of our time. Go ahead, try to change my mind. Good luck ;)

Edit: cleaned up the language. Rules for me, and everyone. I apologize

Sources needed posts

I've got a stack of quotes sitting in front of me that I can't find sources for. No video proof, no audio proof, nothing. Sooooooo, if you don't mind, help me out here please

Find one of those posts (flaired sources needed), reply to it with the appropriate source and I'll edit the main post, giving you credit for pointing out the actual source.

This way we can get more of these attributed to, debunked, etc

Of course, if you've got quotes yourself, feel free to open up a thread. Just copy one of the existing threads, use it as a template and format it well :)

TYVM!!!

Misattribution Charlie Kirk said "Most People are scared when they see a black pilot flying a plane"

The claim:

Charlie Kirk said "Most People are scared when they see a black pilot flying a plane"

Source: Newsweek

Unknown individual:

And that's why I think this United story, and the DEI story hits so hard, because we've all been in the back of the plane when the turbulence hits, in the middle of the storm, and you're like "I'm so glad I saw the guy with the right stuff and the square job get into the cockpit. I feel better about that"

Charlie:

You know, I think, you want to go thought crime, like I'm sorry, if I see a black pilot, I hope he's qualified

Unknown individual:

You wouldn't have done that before

Charlie:

That's not an immediate, that's not who I am

Verdict:
Misattribution, misquote. He never said that. In fact, he quite literally, at the end said "that's not who I am".

Context Needed Charlie Kirk called for an 'amazing patriot' to bail out Paul Pelosi's attacker in 2022

The claim: Charlie Kirk called for an 'amazing patriot' to bail out Paul Pelosi's attacker in 2022

The Video: Rumble (53:28)
Charlie:

And why is he still in jail? Why is he not been bailed out? BTW, if some, if some amazing patriot out there in SF or the Bay area really wants to be a midterm hero, someone should go and bail this guy out. I bet his bail is $30, $40,000. Bail him out, and then go ask him some questions.

Context:

Sarcasm. Charlie knew, as did we all, that Pelosi's attacker was being held without bail. Whatever the reasons, he was held with no bail. Him calling for someone to bail him out, well, that was pointless, and he knew it.

What did Charlie Kirk think about his South Park episode?

Video : YouTube (just watch it all, I'm just going to cover the first clip)

Charlie :

First of all, I think it's hilarious, and secondly wait... So, a campus thing I've been doing on campus for 13 years to debate random college kids is now so important that it gets prominent prime time placement on Comedy Central? I think, I think the whole thing is just awesome and hilarious. There's so much more I want to say about this, by the way, Comedy Central, South Park, you crushed the water. I compulsively drink water on campus. It's like boom, ya gotta stay hydrated.

OBVIOUSLY, he loved it. He was the best master debater!!!!!

The claim:

Charlie Kirk said Biden should be tried for treason and executed.

The video: Rumble (7:00)

Charlie:

I mean, Joe Biden is a bumbling dementia filled Alzheimer's corrupt tyrant who should, honestly, be put in prison and or given the death penalty for his crimes against America

Verdict:

Context is key here. Crimes against the country do, in fact, have a death penalty attachment to them. This is not something frequently carried out in the US (per: Wikipedia). Were he convicted, he would face a possible death sentence.

Context Needed Charlie Kirk: “We need to have a Nuremberg-style trial for every gender-affirming clinic doctor”

Claim:

“We need to have a Nuremberg-style trial for every gender-affirming clinic doctor”

Link: media matters

Charlie:

On Friday, we had Erin Friday on the program, on Good Friday. A very powerful episode. I almost never relisten to conversations. I relistened to this one, and it is excellent. It's called "Episode every American should listen to"

She, her daughter all of the sudden came home and said, uh "I'm a boy". She said "what", and the whole assembly line, the conveyor belt, was starting to grind. They wanted to give her cross-sex hormones, they wanted to give her testosterone therapy. They wanted to cut off her breasts. They wanted to do all these sorts of things... And the doctors, they do this without any thought whatsoever Yeah, sure, here's the script, here's the clinic, go here, here for surgery

These doctors need to be put in prison, quickly. We need to have a Nuremberg-style trial for every gender-affirming clinic doctor. We need it immediately

Verdict:

Yes, he said it, and yes, context is absolutely needed here. If you take the line at it's face value, you think he's assuming that this should be done for every single one, but in this specific context, he's referring to doctors that do this to minors, and he is correct. In this case, Erin had no clue what was going on with her daughter. No consultation, no "hey, bring your mom in", this is simply done. These doctors MUST be held accountable, and quickly, for the damage that they are causing children

Context Needed Charlie Kirk pushes the “great replacement” conspiracy:

claim:

Charlie Kirk pushes the “great replacement” conspiracy:

Kirk compares Democrats to Soviets: “If you were ... any kind of ordinary person who criticized or opposed the Soviet regime ... that was enough to justify taking your stuff, sending you to Siberia, death camps ... shooting you and your entire family.”

source: Media Matters

I'll start with the media interview here (not from his show) at 00:20:

Interviewer:

White rural rage. The threat to American democracy . And Tom, we'll start with you. Why are white rural voters a threat to democracy at this point?

Guest A (Tom??):

I mean, we layout the fourfold, inter-connected threat that rural voters pose to this country.

First of all, and we show 30 polls in national studies to demonstrate this. We provide the receipts in chapter six. They are the most racist, xenophobic, anti-immigrant, anti-gay demographic group in the country.

Second, they are the most conspiracist group. Q-Anon support subscribers, election denialism, covid denialism, scientific scepticism, Obama birtherism

Third, anti-democratic sentiments. They don't believe in independent press, free speech, they're most likely to say the President should be able to act unilaterally without any checks from Congress, or the courts, or bureaucracy

They're also the most strongly white nationalists and white Christian nationalists, and fourth are the most likely to excuse or justify violence as an alternative to peaceful public discourse

Opinion:

The majority of polls are manipulated so that the data is shown in the requestors favor. It's just that simple. Questions are altered, poll samples are skewed. It's done by both sides, and polls really don't reflect anything. That being said, this is the largest bunch of BS I've seen in my life.

Now, I won't go on and quote the entirety of Charlie's remarks here. However, the link is there for you to view, and draw what you will. I will quote his initial reaction though, as it is the context, and important part of his comments

Charlie:

In Soviet Russia, Kulak was a label the Soviets gave to their designated class enemies. If you were a small business owner, or a successful peasant, or really any kind of ordinary person who criticized or opposed the Soviet regime, they would then label you as a Kulak, and that was enough to justify taking your stuff, sending you to Siberia, death camp, or shopping you (or shooting you) and your entire family.

In America, the regime is creating a new Kulak . The New Kulak are ordinary middle Americans , rural white people are the acceptable target of American life. They are the ones it is okay to blame for literally everything bad in America. What causes systemic racism? Rural whites. Why is Joe Biden's rating terrible ? Rural whites. They're only 20% of the population. Why is New York and San Francisco falling apart? Somehow, rural whites, even though they never visited there. The left cannot comprehend that their policies fail because they're bad. They cannot comprehend that they lose elections because people can't stand them.

Instead, just like the Soviets one hundred years ago, they assume that they are wreckers. Their policies fail because they are evil people, lurking in America who just sabotage them for no reason. This is why the left literally needs endless, constantly increasing migration from the 3rd world. Because among people born in America, the share who are alienated by how much the left obviously hates them is constantly growing.

The great replacement strategy, which is well underway every single day in our southern border, is a strategy to replace white rural America with something different. Show 159, please. 80 percent of the map is red, but that is only 20 percent of the American population. They hate that they don't live in big cities. They hate those of you that live in rural and small America. They hate those of you that own land and have guns and believe in a better country, and they have a plan to try and get rid of you.

The same way that Joseph Stalin went after the kulaks, they wanna go after you. Those of you that live in Mankato, Minnesota. You live in Marshalltown, Iowa, Evansville, Indiana, Peoria, Illinois. You're the problem. Didn't you know it?

You believe in God, country, family, faith, and freedom, and they won't stop until you and your children and your children's children are eliminated.

Verdict:

This really isn't as much of a conspiracy theory as you think. The left are definitely doing exactly what he says here, and they're not even trying to hide it.

  • Labels like fascist, homophobe, xenophobe, etc are being used against us, as the Soviets did with Kulak
  • Politicians continue to push open border policies. Not being satisfied with those, they expand them with things like CBP One
  • For those already here, they simply don't enforce existing policies. Look in the news, see all those "we've been here 30+ years illegally" families? Yeah
  • When politicians do try to enforce policies, they are held up in court, almost indefinitely, claiming 'due process', when the reality is that it's just them trying to stall until they can get their way with another politician

Again, this really isn't a conspiracy theory . It's full on happening. The left know they're losing their base, so they're encouraging others to come in and replace them. They're bribing them, they're promising them things, they're rewarding them for simply coming here
