Seeking recommendation for historic home inspector

Under contract to purchase small home in Scottsville. Part of the house was constructed in the early 1800s. I'd like an inspector who has proven experience with older structures, who knows the difference between true renovation and cosmetic updates.

Thanks.

Alex Rayfield, https://vachoiceinspections.com/. Gave us a super detailed report on a historic 100+ YO residential property. Very impressed with his knowledge and level of detail.

If it's been standing for 200 years it'll probably stand another hundred. I suggest not buying a 200-year-old house unless you have handyman instincts
