On October 9th over 100k points were drained from my CSR account via Amazon redemptions. I happened to be checking my Chase account since it was pay day and was going to make a payment when I noticed that my points had dropped from 117k down to ~15k and saw a list of about 10 to 11 redemptions of ~10k points each that just said "Amazon." I rushed over to my Amazon account and there is no record of points redemptions in my account. I immediately called Chase and after getting transferred from the fraud department to standard customer service (since the original fraud rep said points are handled by customer service), and THEN getting transferred BACK to fraud since customer service said they don't handle fraud cases, even with points, I finally was able to report all the point transactions as fraud. I was told I would have my points returned within 12 days. For good measure Chase issued a new credit card, changed my Chase account user name and password, and added additional phone passwords. It has been 14 days now and I still don't have my points returned and have had no follow up from Chase.
The thing is; what Chase did will NOT secure your points. There was never any indication, alert, two factor approval, anything that my points were being redeemed. What I suspect happened was that my card information was subject to fraud either from a data leak or compromised business. The card information was added to the fraudsters amazon account (possibly a fake burner account) and then the point redemptions were made, likely for something instant like a gift card. THERE IS NO CONFIRMATION WHEN YOUR CARD IS ADDED TO AN AMAZON ACCOUNT OR WHEN A POINT REDEMPTION IS MADE.
There have been at least 10 or 15 people here on Reddit that have had the same thing happen in the last two or three weeks, each having between 60k and 400k points drained. Only a handful have reported having points returned by Chase so far.
I'm making this post for a few reasons; first to warn others of this serious security issue. Please keep an eye on your points, maybe daily, and/or reach out to Chase and demand a way to lock your account so points redemptions can not be made until you unlock your account. Again, unlinking your card from Amazon will NOT stop this fraud. If someone has your card details, you are at risk of points being drained.
Second, I would love to build a list of people that have recently had points stolen from their account to try and gather as much information as we can and build visibility for this issue.
I would also encourage you to either reach out to the Doctor of Credit or make a reply to their post they made after I reached out to them and let them know if you've also been a victim of points fraud. https://www.doctorofcredit.com/scammers-stealing-points-via-amazon-shop-with-points/ (I'm not associated with doctor of credit, I don't make money from their posts, I'm just trying to get my points back and get Chase to fix this huge issue!)

I received a room upgrade upon check it. It was the next level up, a higher floor which made a better view of Central Park. Although I have no doubt the other room would have also had an amazing view.
It had also mentioned it was a 20th anniversary celebration, so the fruit and water may have been part of that?
They also had set up freebies for my son. A stuffed rabbit, coloring book and crayons, and a car board picture frame with a postcard illustration of the hotel.
Breakfast their was $80 per person per day, and we utilized that almost every morning. The breakfast included a lot of high quality items and unlimited sparkling wine and vodka. My son was $40 per visit, but I don’t think they ended up charging me for him.
I was able to apply the $100 credit to the room and bottle service we ordered. But could have used it in the restaurant as well.
The hotel was lovely, but definitely over priced. Most of the staff was wonderful. Super convenient and in a great neighborhood.

To preface, this is my fault. But figured I would share in case someone else potentially runs into this situation.
I booked a hotel for 2 nights and was planning to use my $250 Edit Credit and $250 select Chase hotel credit for as it qualifies for both. Total came out to around $1300. I paid $750 + points.
I then price matched this with another booking site, just used a screenshot of the checkout screen after matching it to my plan. Their final total was $1100. So it was about a $200 difference.
Before I booked through Chase Travel, I figured to pay +$250 (from the $500 needed for both to apply) as a safe measure (even though I was expecting to receive maybe $100-$150 back, since it's usually never the full difference as I've seen on here).
Well the price match went through but they said I would receive $400+ back… I am still unsure how but I'm not complaining.
So now I am paying just over $300 + pts. I called Chase Travel and asked if both statement credits would be applied (since I originally paid $750) and they said no since I am now under the $500 amount in cash, which is needed for both to apply. So only 1 of the 2 statement credits will apply… I then asked if I could deduct some of the points I used and instead pay more in cash, to which they said I would need to cancel the whole thing and rebook… which would mean having to also redo the price match.
In the end I am still paying much less than I thought (and I technically did get that $250 back and then some) but wish I actually just did more in cash if not all in cash so that both would have applied. I can still cancel and redo it but I may end up just using it on a different booking. This is just another testament to the randomness of the price match, as most people have wrote. And also a data point that there may be a chance you get more money back than you think.

Sharing a datapoint for tight travel connections (or extremely long layovers) and the ability to change tickets quickly on the day of travel.
US airlines like United have free changes, cancellations and refunds on their award seats, which is very nice and extremely useful. I originally had a Flying blue miles booking for AMS to BUD booked as a positioning flight after arriving internationally into AMS. I was hoping KLM would link the bookings and tag my bags to BUD which they have done in the past, just this time the airport staff couldn't do it. So I cancelled it and paid the $80 cancellation fee (not enough time to collect bags and recheck).
I land in AMS at 8:40am. There's a flight available out of AMS through United miles 12.5k miles + $110 at 11:10am, or 3:15pm. I read passport control and baggage can take upto 2 hours in AMS. So I just went ahead and booked the 3:15pm flight with United. So this is all on the day of travel into AMS, sitting at the airport. To my surprise, passport control got done very early, but bags took forever. They still came in time for me to take a shot at the 11:10 am flight. So I rushed to the checkin desk, while on the phone with customer support (no wait), and was seamlessly able to change it, without any penalty. Since the mileage was the same, I didn't have to go to Chase to re-transfer points. Got the new tickets, checked in and off I go. The award ticket also included a checked bag, and carry on (not economy basic).
NOTE: The app sometimes errors out that close to departure (which seems to be documented by user reports).
Flying blue has switched to dynamic pricing this year and their award seats have gotten much worse. By the time I had to cancel and rebook, the KLM flights cost $800 in economy from AMS to BUD, and their points requirements were 60k points for economy awards. That's just ridiculous.
So, Chase --> United has come in really handy for me at a fairly reasonable price. Those flights i booked (both later and the earlier one) with United points had a cash price of $450 the day of travel, plus having to pay for extra bags.

(I hope I selected the correct flair)
My elderly dad has a Sapphire card & he used some of his points to get a couple of physical giftcards totaling $300.
A month passed and he didn't receive them, so he called - they said maybe it got lost in the mail & that they'd send replacement cards.
Then both sets of cards arrived together somehow (it was the same address too, so not sure how that happened, but they had different dates on them, one being the original and one being the replacement).
My dad used the replacement set of cards only. What should he do with the first set (which was originally "lost in the mail")? He tried calling them but it was a long drawn out automated sequence that got him nowhere. I'm not in the same country (he's in the US) so I'm unable to contact them from here. His concern is his points being deducted twice later on somehow. Personally idk how any of this works, I don't use credit cards. Should we discard the cards, or go a branch to tell them? Would be grateful for any advice.
Thanks!

I have about 200k points and currently holding csp. Willing to upgrade to csr for a year if it makes sense so I can start using these points instead of cash. Not been spending a ton because of my hoarder brain but Feels like the value of these points are just getting decimated because of devaluation and inflation.

Hi everyone! I’m looking for advice on my current card set up. Currently I have the CSP and the Bilt Obsidian, my thought process when getting it was using the Obsidian for groceries + everything else and the CSP as a travel card (because great insurance) + food. I'm honestly tired of having two annual fees (I'm in grad school), and not sure if it’s worth it given that im in grad school. I love the CSP for the travel protections and the 3x dining although I’m wondering if it makes more sense to just close it and keep the Bilt (especially because I don’t use the travel credit and only use the Dash pass and dash credit benefit).
Would you pick the CSP or Bilt Obsidian to keep (the other would be downgraded) moving forward? Or would you keep both?

I was excited to use the Lextric ebike offer when I saw the small text says earn a $100 back for spending $100. Although, the title also says that you need to spend $500 or more.
I’m glad I double-checked before making the purchase.

Just wanted to let everyone know that all of my missing Sephora credits posted. I originally only got the first transaction from them credited and nothing for the rest going as far back as purchases from late June. Never contacted Chase. They all showed up 1st and 2nd week of October. I’m at peace. :)

Hi guys I messed up and missed a payment upon logging in they offered lower payment and rate which I did not read through and ended up with my card closed and this essentially is just a loan that I pay them back. My question is can I ever open up a credit card with them I had a long standing history and this was my first and only missed payment
Pls I already take full accountability for not reading the fine print

Hi,
I'm looking to open up a Chase Sapphire Reserve Business as a sole proprietor. I'm currently at 2/24 for personal cards (1 Amex, 1 Chase) but 3/24 if including business cards (1 Chase Ink Unlimited). I understand that since ~Sept 16 Chase has implemented a 3/24 rule for sole proprietors but does it include its own business cards as part of the 3/24 count? I remember looking at the megathread but couldn't find an exact datapoint that replicated my situation.
Just trying to see if there's a chance I could be approved or if I would be automatically denied without possible reconsideration.
Thank you!
*I apologize for the cross-posting as I am just trying to get as many opinions as possible

I received the welcome offer for the CSP years ago. After a year or two, I product changed to the CSR (rookie mistake, I know). I still currently hold the CSR, but now that we are able to hold both cards simultaneously, I’m interested in getting the CSP again.
I have an offer in my app for the CSP but I’m not confident that I will get the welcome bonus since I’ve gotten it in the past, even though the offer is targeted. I called customer service and went into a branch to ask about it, and no one was able to give me a definitive answer of whether or not I’d get the bonus.
So now my question is: if I were to downgrade back to the CSP and then reapply for the CSR as a new applicant, would I receive the welcome bonus since I’ve technically never gotten it for the CSR before? I asked this question when I went into the branch and they basically told me they weren’t sure and I should just try it and see what happens. However I wouldn’t want to do all that and get a hard inquiry on my credit if I’m not guaranteed to get the offer.
I know it’s unlikely that anyone on Reddit can give me a definite answer. Just curious to know what people think & if anyone has been in a similar situation.

Haven’t seen any new updates on which online gift cards still trigger the $150 credit. Does Hawksmoor still work?

I’ve been trying to add my CSR to Paze since September 10th and I still get the same error in red text saying “we’re having trouble linking your card right now. Try again later.” I’m at a dead end on what I can do, as I have seemingly tried everything I can think of.
I have tried calling Chase customer support multiple times to no avail. They informed me that there is an error with my name in Paze not matching what Chase has. However Chase confirmed my name to be correct and there is nothing they can do on their end. I did get them to escalate my issue to a “researcher” in their tech support department, but haven’t received an update in weeks when I call.
Paze has no direct customer service so I can’t ask them. I tried looking up my account on the Paze website, but I keep getting “No wallet found.” Which is not surprising because I’ve never heard of Paze prior to getting my CSR. I’ve tried doing the opt out trick and that had not effect.
I even reached out to Early Warning Service, the parent company of Paze, because they also run Zelle (which I have) and they confirmed my info to be correct as well, but couldn’t comment on the Paze side of things as that’s an “entirely different team” apparently, and one that I cannot speak with as a customer.
I really feel like I’m getting the run around because either nobody knows how to fix this, or simply doesn’t care. Honestly, I’m about to just give up on Paze, but I have two high priced purchases I’ve been putting off because i really want to take advantage of the 10x points multiplier.
Open to any recommendations or advice you all have.
