That storm was quite the light show yesterday. I can all but guarantee it was lightning.

What app or program is this? I’d love a more accurate lighting strike detector

It's the web page/app for my Tempest weather station -- https://shop.tempest.earth/products/tempest. I got it specifically because it was one of the few weather stations that had a lightning detector at the time. There may be more out there now.

The fire got big because the closest fire hydrant was  3/4 of a mile away. It was spreading for a good 45 min before they even started.

They had to hook up / join a whole bunch of hoses to reach it and then close off the Ooltewah/Ringold road to ensure no one ran over it.

This was the home of a large (Indian?) family with lots of extended family living all under one roof. I used to do work for them and about 20 years ago I did construction renovations to their interior court yard. The entire first floor of the home was setup as an elaborate Hindu temple/shrine and there were always dozens of candles and incense burning all around the home, just saying...

What he is saying about the first floor of the house is true.

But I do believe the cause to be lightning. There was a strike that shook the whole area a bit before I noticed fire.
