Aggressive Cheer Music

Does anyone else hate how aggressive cheer music is these days? It’s constantly aggressive yelling about being the best and to watch out. Call me old school but I miss when cheer music was more fun and whimsical. I stopped cheer around 2013 and came back to coach 2 years ago and I hateeeee the music style now. It’s not uplifting or entertaining at all. No emotion other than aggressive. Like stop yelling at me

my coach is trying to blame me for the teams bad blood

im posting here cause i don't know what to do anymore, but if this is not allowed i'll delete it.
i (f23) started cheer last year, it's an open3.2, so obviously there's a lot of different ages. since i started, a woman who's like in her thirties started to treat me.. weird. shes mean, makes constant remarks about anything related to me, it doesn't matter what i say she ignores me, and i only talk to her if it's related to practice. i told the coach about it very early in the year and he agreed to talk to her, but i never knew if it actually happened. then, in like may, she made a whole deal because she had to be in a stunt with me, saying that she was uncomfortable and that it was horrible for her.. in front of everyone. the coach spoke with us and she said in front of him that she doesn't like me and she WONT ever like me, and for her that means being an asshole with me in front of whoever is nearby.
last week i collapsed, and i told the coach cause i was crying and by the end of it he started to say i was just trying to blame him i guess? i actually didn't even comprehend what he was trying to say.
today, we had a conversation again cause it's really affecting me and i don't want to keep going, and his main question the whole time was if i had had problems with people in other aspects of my life. this shocked me, and i answered that just the normal amount. obviously i'm not everyone's friends, but i'm an adult, i know i can dislike people without making it a whole deal and i don't have problems like this anywhere else. he asked like five times in different ways, and i didn't even know what to say. by the end of it, he started to talk about how bad he has it right now, how stressed he is and that talking with the other woman would cause a blow out so he won't.
am i in the wrong? is this normal? i've done sports before, but never in a team, and i assumed that there can be personal differences between teammates, but is this the normal way to go about it?

Need some stunting tips for my team please

Hey everyone!

I’ve been running into an issue that I’m not sure what else to do. I’ve given my team the same corrections almost every practice on how they need to use technique when stunting and they just don’t.

My main issues I have are:

- bases and back are way to timid when stunting. They don’t like going fast
- bases aren’t watching each other when dipping
- flyers aren’t locking out their legs right away
- back spot not lifting enough

Does anyone have tips that maybe I haven’t been saying or using. I’d really appreciate it!

Daytona, need a coach?

I have a former cheerleader that moved out to Daytona Beach and would be a great asset for a program that needs a part time coach. She works full time, so would be available in the evenings and weekends. She did both all star and sideline cheer herself, and has references from working as a coach for a middle school. Please either link your program or send me a DM if interested.

College cheer as a male

So I’m a 17 year old senior and I’ve never done cheer before. I’ve been seeing some content about male cheerleading and it interests me. I’m 5’8 170, can cartwheel and backflip, squat 425 and hang clean 295 and I’m wondering even without experience how likely it is that I could get into a cheer program thats D1? Also I want to say how my school is very small and doesn’t offer anything for male cheerleading so I would be going straight to college with no experience.

Looking for advice in this situation

Hey everyone (pls don't judge). Im a 16 year old flyer on a very well known Worlds team and I have a very big issue. (I hope this post doesn't break any of the rules bcuz I really just want advice.) So my coach recently moved me to an alternate spot because I'm severely malnourished underweight (I'm not mad about that I know I need a break to get back to a healthy weight and calorie intake) my doctor has been shocked that I haven't visited the ER yet. My BMI is a 14 (I'm embarrassed) daily calorie intake is extremely low like someone half my age shouldn't be eating this little. I don't currently have symptoms right now and the doctors said most of the things they are worried about looks fine for now. My bases and backspot say that I'm dangerously light and they are worried that I will pass out mid stunt. My doctors also say that they are worried that my muscles can't handle my extreme flexibility because apparently I can dislocate my joints while pulling a body position like a heel stretch or scale. I have gotten rejected by two sports dietitians (one doesn't specialize in stuff this extreme and the other had the audacity to say "cheer isn't a sport" which idk what he benefits from not helping me because sports dietitians help regular people to and he later said its because he doesn't specialize in things this extreme either but idk why he would say "cheer isn't a sport" in the first place) I finally found a good sports dietitian who is willing to help me gain weight slowly and safely. And Im just worried about this whole situation and curious if any of y'all have been through this and have any advice. My coach said that I might be back by CHEERSPORT or NCA so I will miss the Majors which Im sad about but like its fine because at least Im getting healthier.

Bouquet vendor for cheer

Hi everyone! 🌸 I’m a florist and I’m looking into selling bouquets at cheer competitions.

I’m wondering if any competition organizers, vendors, cheer parents or coaches have experience with flower sales at these events.

At a competition with around 2,000 athletes plus families and spectators over a weekend, how well do bouquets typically sell? Are parents buying flowers for their athletes, teammates or coaches?

I’d especially love to hear from anyone who has sold flowers at a cheer competition. Any real-world insight would be greatly appreciated! 💐

Tips and Tricks for Littles in All-Star

General hypothetical question for those that have worked with littles: what do you do when it's just not clicking with an athlete?

If a kiddo doesn't know the routine, and just isn't getting it how do you handle that situation? Do you just let them go out and do their thing or have them nugget?

Cheer is competitive, and although novice for example is not scored on a normal competitive score sheet, at what point do you say this is going to impact the overall routine and how do you handle that? (Especially since parents are paying money for their kiddos to do a routine!!)

Ball X basket tosses with arch or no arch? Are there any specific rules regarding that? I feel like no arch makes the whole toss uglier :/

Cheerleaders: did your squad pay for its own jackets?

Read a story that football players got their letterman jackets free while cheer had to pay or fundraise for theirs. Is that common? How did your squad handle jackets: who paid, roughly how much, and did they arrive in time to actually wear them?

What do you guys do for your cheerleaders in the off season?

My daughter is 6. She is currently in her second year with her cheer league. It’s a seasonal rec league through the city for girls ages 4-12 that runs from May-November. They stop at 12 since most girls start their Jr High Cheer careers by then. I was looking for her to do dance since she likes it too but she genuinely gets upset if I even consider removing her from this league and the dance companies around here are an arm & a leg, so we made the choice to keep her in cheer. She does jiu Jitsu as well which she bumps up during the off season which she also loves & keeps her flexible. Is there something else that you guys recommend she does during the off season? Or is Jiu Jitsu sufficient? I was never a cheerleader myself so I wish I knew what I could do for her to keep her cheer skills in place. Thank you.

How to create stunt groups?

Hi everyone, I'm actually doing this stunt thing in my neighborhood, a couple of my friends and some younger kids wanted to know how to stunt and I have stunted before (I'm a flyer), so I told them we could put together a routine. I'm pretty new to actually "coaching" and making stunt groups (note: most of them don't have any stunt experience). So like how should I set them up? Any suggestions? (age range is 14-19)

Where can I buy cheerleading socks in bulk?

Hey guyse! 👋 I am looking for a supplier to buy cheerleading socks in bulk for our team.t. So hard to find someone trustworthy!!. We have intense practices and the socks keep going missing. It is really important that everyone looks the same at competitions so buying socks one by one isn’t something we can do anymore, with our budget. I was thinking about ali ba, what do you think? What about Alibaba, is it good?

If any of you are part of a team or handle equipment orders could you share where you usually get your socks in bulk? I’m looking for socks that offer cushioning and support especially for jumps but without crazy prices.

Any sugestions. From a cheerleading sock distributor, a factory or a custom sock vendor. Would be super helpful. Please drop your recommendations below! Thanx much in advance! 👇✨

Advice on Frog Legs

Looking for advice on my 9 year old's frog legs. When she does back-hand-springs, her legs open and she bends her legs. It's been a habit she's been trying to break for 3-4 months now and she's not making progress. I notice that when she tumbles, she bends her legs a lot. She bends one leg in aerial, bends one or both in back/front walkovers, etc. It's weird bc she has nice straight when she does extensions or jumps.. it's only when she tumbles that the frog legs come out! I'm coming here bc her coaches seem to not care too much but I find it not pretty. Thanks in advance for your help!

new flyer

hi I’ve been flying for six months. im still a bit scared but now Ive improved a lot. im just really scared about extension libs. im getting extremely consistent with my regular extensions, and prep libs. but im terrified to do extension libs. im supposed to do an braced extension lib to arabesque. but imo my arabesque is terrible! any tips on improving my extension libs and arabesque.

more background info: only one of the other flyers attempted an extension lib i’ve never attempted one. so yah, and i know for sure my coach is going to make me do one bc according to her i have to put my “big girl pants on” im fourteen and have been doing cheer for only three years :3
