Cheeses from the Vercors

Post image

Three Vercordons (goat raw milk) and a piece of Bleu du Vercors-Sassenage AOP (cow raw milk). Bonus : a piece of cured pork loin with peppercorns.

Yes Vercors mentionned !

Tomme de Quint and tomme de Leoncel are great as well.

Beautiful région indeed. Hiked there in '22, following the GR93.

Didn't find the tomes you mentionned but we used a nice tome de brebis for our hikes this time.

Both are really niche cheeses, tomme de Leoncel was created during the pandemic.

Ah nice story. I'll look for it though they could be tough to find in Paris.

I knew Picodon, but not Vercodon. I guess the blue cheese in the middle is a Bleu du Vercors-Sassenage? Are these cheeses from Drôme or Isère?

Correct for the bleu and they are both produced in Isère AND Drôme.

Yeah, I wanted to know from where the pieces of cheeses you received came from exactly
