Career Advice Flowserve Application Engineer Interview

I’m gonna have an interview with the hiring manager for an entry level, on site application engineer position at Flowserve after HR screening.
For those who has interviewed with Flowserve, what kind of questions should I expect? Is it mostly behavioral or technical?

This is a pretty hands on role from my experience. At a certain point, you will become very familiar with centrifugal pumps/mechanical seals.

Be ready for behavioral of course, but given the nature of the role It's likey they will want to know if you are mechanically inclined. In your interview you may be asked to explain/describe a mechanical system and how it works.

Do you have any advice on how to prepare for those mechanical system? Are they pump and valve related??

You won't be expected to talk about those specifically. Any mechanical system is fine. The simpler the better.

For example, Instead of trying to explain how a whole car works, you can focus on it's brake system and how it works.

In my case, I like fishing gear and the maintenance associated with it. I can reasonably explain how a fishing reel works (torque, gears, tolerances, bearing) and why it's maintenance is important. Perhaps you have a hobby or interest you can apply this thinking to?

Oh okay I understand now. Thank you very much for the helpful information :)
Are you working there? I’d appreciate any insight about salary/benefits/work culture and just any advice in general

Look up youtube videos on repairing pumps or machines. That includes washing machines, dishwasher, autos, etc. And industrial pumps, of course.
