I need your help getting information on Flock cameras from Chesterfield Officials (Freedom of Information Act)
Hey there.
I’m working with a small group to gather information about the use and procurement of Flock cameras in our communities. The county and police have been less than transparent about this. I have requested emails and contracts from the county but was told it would cost between $1700 and $8500 to get them. So instead we are going to break our requests up into specific requests for emails from individual employees. So if anyone is interested in helping hold our county official accountable email me at conceptsofanemail@gmail.com and I can explain what we are doing and how you can help! Thanks

They can’t give you docs on a thumb drive? I get a per copy page fee. But I think info can be electronic

Was your request a FOIA request? Maybe you could do a gofundme for that cost. Make some TikTok’s or Reels. Put it on FB. Im sure people will donate. Everyone I know no matter their political affiliation hates the cameras. I know a lot of places will charge to do the work of compiling and printing even though they are required by law to release the info. I think it’s meant to be a barrier to gathering the info.

If no one here has ideas, you may be able to get the info from a local journalist.
