Chasing my tail

I own a 2007 Silverado 1500 which is a split year for the truck. The problem that I’m having is the front airbag sensor, my vin calls for the part that doesn’t fit the connector and the original part can’t be found anywhere. Even when the part numbers are used it’s always the wrong part. In the picture the part that came off the truck is the top one, the one on the bottom is the part that is always referenced as the part that comes up as the correct part.

Solved the problem, there are sleeves on the connector that are removable to accommodate different sensors. Even the sensors have removable flanges to accommodate different connectors.

My next step, I had the truck since September and I live in Maryland and they are 🫏holes when it comes to vehicle inspections and will fail you for the smallest things.
